Renovations at BWV?

Hi everyone, I'm not a DVC member but I have a 1 bedroom booked at BWV for early Jan. I understand that certain parts of the resort are being renovated, does anyone know when these renovations will be complete? We have a standard view room reserved, I'm curious as to whether or not the constuction will impact my stay at BWV.

hi: they try not to upset your vacation when they are doing renovations. we've gone on several trips when they were doing renovations. even when they were replacing the carpeting in the halls, there was a cm right there with the installers to make sure the guests weren't inconvenienced. you'll have a great time.

I agree, Disney does a wonderful job of making renovations as unobtrusive as possible. They have been doing renovations forever, it seems, but you never know they are there! If they are painting outside, all those rooms are closed off so no one stays there. If they are doing inside work, it's only during the day when people are usually gone. They even leave you messages on your phone if they think you will be inpacted in any way. Last Christmas the rooms around the quiet pool were closed because the outside was being painted, but the quiet pool was open, and we had the pool and hot tub to ourselves. They even cover the scaffolding with mesh so you don't really see it. It was wonderful!! Don't give the work at BWV another thought, you will have a great time!
