Rennaisance Worldgate or Wyndham Orlando Resort?

I have a vacation voucher that I earned through my business. I can stay at either the Renaissance Worldgate Hotel or the Wyndham Orlando Resort. I know NOTHING about either of these. If you can give me any info, I'd appreciate it!!

Hi,

Is Wyndham Orlando Resort the Wyndham at Downtown Disney? If so definately stay there as it is very convenient to DTD and the Disney Parks. Very nice area and very nice rooms. There is a sort of play island with pools, playground and tennis courts. If this is the same Wyndham, don't hesitate to stay there.

Renaissance Worldgate is an okay resort. I have stayed here in the past when the resort was a bit nicer but it is still a nice place to stay. It is about a mile outside of Animal Kingdom. I last stayed there in Dec. 2002. Rooms were clean had a nice size refrigerator, coffee maker, iron/ironing bd, hair dryer and safe. You can see several fireworks going off at Disney from this hotel either in your room or from the parking lot. There is a back access road from this resort which leads you directly to AK and is very convenient to use.

Definately check on the Wyndham first. If it isn't the one in the DTD area, then I can't comment on that one. Have a great stay.

They are in different sections of town. If you are going to Disney, I would stay at the World Gate..... it is just off the back road near Animal Kingdom (off I-92). If you are going to Universal, then stay at the Wyndham Orlando. That is on the corner of Sand Lake Blvd & International Drive. It is about 5 minutes from Universal and nearly 20 from Disney.... I have stayed at both & liked both of them..... The Wyndham has a resort fee, the World Gate doesn't. They are both just your average hotel...nothing spectacular about either one. I know that the Wyndham has construction going on now....not sure when you are going, but you should factor that in.... noise, dirt etc.....
