Hello Everyone ~ has anyone renewed their vows at WDW? We were married 12 years ago and since we were both married before we went to the court house ~~ we just wanted to be married and not deal with all the pomp and circumstance.

Since then our daughters (one mine, the other my DH's although I consider her mine) have been bugging us because they weren't at the court house ~ it was Friday and they were in school.

Long and short of it is that we are planning a trip next May after college graduation for our girls and one of them suggested that we renew our vows at Disney! We simply want to stand somewhere in front of the castle and renew, nothing fancy, just want the four of us to be there together at our favorite place on earth!!!!!

Does anyone know if we would be able to arrange for a minister through Disney to do this?

Thanks ~ appreciate any help or suggestions.

Welcome! The wedding and vow renewal options are one in the same at WDW. Try looking at the DFTW website for package info? I believe the "memories package" is the smallest available and is somewhere around 2k? I'm sure others will chime in. You might also consider "just" a special dinner or event for your family instead of a formal VR as an "unofficial" wedding/renewal on property is strictly verboten!

Hi from another VR bride!!
We renewed our vows at the S/D last May and had the perfect day!
I think you will probably find that Disney will only allow you to officially renew your vows in the MK, if you go through DFTW and book a 'Wishes' package.
Of course, there is nothing to stop you and your husband standing in front of the castle and repeating your vows to one another, but having an officiant present and being obvious about what you are doing, will probably land you in trouble and may even end in your being ejected from the park.
Your best option would be to book a 'Memories' package and choose one of the locations it offers. Unfortunately, the MK is not one of them, but you could still renew your vows in WDW and have a magical day!!
Good luck with all your plans.

I was looking for something similar but turned off by the prices. We spent our honeymoon in Disney after have an intimate gathering at Niagara Falls. I found a few simple but very nice packages at the Swan & Dolphin its worth a peek if you are interested. They were slightly less than Disney.

I think the Memories package VR sounds like a great option for you -:thumbsup2 We used this for our VR last summer - easy to plan, not tooo expensive - we chose the Luau Beach location with the castle across the lake in the background - included in package were bouquet, violinist, DFTW coordinator, limo, and photo package....we also added on a park photo shoot.... You will have to hire an officiant and if you want to have someone do hair/makeup, etc. You can make it as formal or relaxed as you want - we wrote our own vows in addition to the options from Rev. Kev... For us - it WAS everything our first wedding was not...:wizard: Here are couple of pics of the site.... (sorry about the picture size and gap :confused3 )

I just had to tell you we used Rev. Kev for our wedding 7 years ago, and he was wonderful! Looking to do a VR at WDW in 3 years (yeah, I'm a planner!), and would love to use him again! :)
