Renewing vows at the grill

I had read on previous threads about this great 'Re-hitching Ceremony' offered at the Garden Grill in Epcot, and decided to suprise 'hubby'. I called for a priority seating but the cm didn't have a clue as to what I was talking about. He put me on hold and then came back and said they offer something like that-and would request it for me but couldn't give me any other info. So what have I got myself into? Does anyone know if there is extra cost for this? Is it only reserved for anniversaries? Help!

I surprised my dh last summer with a rehitching at GG. It was okay. It seems that different people have had different experiences. I requested it at the time I made my ps. Then when I checked in at the podium at my ps time, I mentioned it again. After our meal, our server came to our table with Steve, the voice of the Garden Grill (at least that's what she told us.) He told everyone within hearing that none of you were invited to the first wedding of this happy couple, so now we were going to do it again, in the presence of all that were there. We had to say our I do's all over again, and then kiss to a hundred. 1,2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 20, 30 etc. Then we got a certificate. Some people have gotten a special dessert cake, others have had the characters present. We didn't. It costs nothing extra. And it doesn't have to coincide with a 'special' day.

We did it in May. It was fun. I had it on our PS and reminded them at the podium.

I even got a kiss from Mickey...on the cheek of course

Mickey was our "best mouse" and minnie was our "mouse of honor." Chip and Dale were also part of the wedding party.

The staff was hillarious...they made me a bouguet out of paper towels, made a lot of jokes and took about ten photos of our wedding.

We did not mention it on our PS.I just asked at the podium and totally shocked DH and DD.

A magical moment for sure!

It was fun! I surprised DH with is on our last trip. When we made PS they had no clue what we were talking about but it did show up on our PS at the Garden Grill (we were listed in red).

We got a cake and a certificate - the characters weren't on that side of the restaraunt I guess. Save room for dessert!

I was going to post a pic of our certificat and cake but the net is ULTRA slow and I can't get to it.
