My AP is good through April 14th. Our first day in the parks this trip is the 14th. My question is if I renew that day do I lose a day in the parks? As it will expire the following April 14th?

Not sure about that but I know if you don't renew by April 14th you will not receive the discount for renewing. I have a seasonal pass and if I renew by the Anniversary date I will save $25. I'm sure the savings on AP is more.

Indeed.

You can get the renewal rate anytime within 30 days of the expiration. After 30 days, you have to pay the full price.

The expiration date will have nothing to do with the day you renew it. You can renew it 30 days before or up to 30 days after and the expiration will still be the same day it always was, just 1 year later.
