Renewing DVC AP online before our trip-Magic Band,FP+ problem???

Hi,

We will renew our DVC AP online before it expires in Nov. In the past, we got vouchers to turn in at the park to get our paper AP. When we go to the park the first time, had anyone experienced any problems entering as the voucher is linked to the band- not the paper AP?

Also, any problems making FP+ ressies at the 60 day window with a voucher? I'll link it on My Disney Experience when I get it.

Worried as I don't want to have problems in Feb. when we go down with our children & grandchildren and I certainly don't want to have problems making Anna & Elsa FP+ ressies!!

You should be able to enter the confirmation # into My Disney Experience so that you can book FP+ at 60 days.

I think you still need to stop at a Guest Relations booth before entering the park to show your DVC member card and ID's to activate the AP's.

They can activate the voucher number at the ticket counter now. A CM pulled us out of the Guest Relations line at DHS saying it could be handled at the ticket booth. We had no problems using the AP with MDE and at our resort as everything was connected through DME to the MBs.

You would think that there would be some way to issue a ticket number directly to the MB and then print a ticket at the ticket window with the same number. Hate to stop at the ticket window our first day there. Especially at MK on a Sunday. Wish the hotels could do it.

You cannot purchase a DVC renewal online at this point in time. I had to call MS last week and do it so that I could make my FP+ reservations...

You still have to go to Guest Relations at the theme parks for the to 'activate; your DVC renewal and then that active card must be linked to you MDX account and then you will be able to use your MagicBands with it. It's a royal pain the butt...

We ordered ours thru the DVC by phone in March and used the ID#'s the CM verbally read to us to link them online thru My Disney Experience. As soon as we set them up, we were allowed to select FP+ without activating.

We then simply walked up to the ticket windows outside the Monorail entrance at the Transportation and Ticket Center with our ID's and Magicbands and a CM activated them with no hassle and no lines.

I highly recommend this option.
