Renewing DDE

My DDE card expires 6/30/06. We live close enought that we go to Disney about once every 2 months or so. When should I renew so that my new card picks up where my old one leave off?

Also, does anyone know if the renewal card starts on a different day, depending on when you renew? Or does it automatically pick up where the last card left off?

I hope this is clear. I am too tired to re-type.
