Renewing APs

how and when can you renew? I thought it was 60 days before they expire, but today the MDE app said we have 60 days left on our APs and I don’t see any way to renew them either in the app nor the website. Can you do it online? Or do I have to call? It’s important because our FP day is Monday, and I can’t book any FP until we have a valid ticket, and I can’t have a valid ticket for our stay until I renew our APs. I had though I had a few days cushion, but like I said the app said today (Sunday April 14) is when we have 60 days left. I was still up so I checked after MN EST to see if a renew button popped up, but no luck.

It depends on what AP you have and what you want to renew. We had the Platinum Plus from last years sale. I received an email to renew. When I went into MDE, I also had a link to renew. I just wanted to renew to a Gold pass. I could purchase that, but not with the AP renewal discount. Had I renewed my current pass, I could have done that onlline. Since i was changing levels, I had to call member services to renew.

We have the platinum pass, and I haven’t gotten any emails; I just checked again and don’t see a way to do it in the app or online. It’s actually my DH and 2 sons’ passes that expire, mine is on a different schedule and is still good so that could be why no emails. I guess I’m going to have to call, I was just hoping to avoid that. Isn’t there a passholder line, I thought I remember reading that somewhere? Does anyone know the number offhand? I will also google it, but confirmation is always good .

I was able to downsize my DD's and my Platinum Plus AP to just Platinum online last August when it was time to renew,and I was only charged the renewal rate for Platinum AP.

Just an update - this AM while I was on hold for the AP line I did find the place to renew online. I’m not sure if I just missed it last night or if it didn’t pop up until this morning, but either way I just renewed online after talking to the CM that answered at about the same time as I found it. Thanks for the help and info!

Since you have a DVC Priced AP, you can only renew by calling DVC Member Services.

Tourist APs (non-discounted) and FL Resident APs can be renewed online and you can even change levels during the online renewal process.
