Renewing AP's

Hi All,

I've never renewed an AP so I'm not entirely sure how it works. I've heard in the past that they used to give you 6 months free if you renewed, is this still the case?

Mine expires at the end of this month and I'd like to renew it so that I can sponsor 3 people on a trip in November.

I haven't had any renewal letters but that's not surprising because I never receive the newsletter either.

Any help would be much appreciated!

When we renewed ours in April this year we got the 6 months free.

We got a letter concerning renouvellement in June So if we had waited until then I think it would have been too late as you have 3 weeks or so after the end of the AP to renew

Would you be renewing yours through the post ?

Looking at that it says that you have 30 days after your pass runs out to renew if you do it via internet or it has to be done in the preceding 30 days from pass expiry if you are doing it by post in able to get the extra 6 months.

Give them a ring seeing that you'd be sending it from abroad

I renewed mine by post in June.

I thought you could renew it online and then I realised you have to be in France to renew online.

So anyway I filled in the forms, got the photos and sent away my application form (i included the webpage with the 6 months free offer and wrote beside it that I want to avail of this offer).

About 10 days later my new AP arrived!

I'm not convinced my French is good enough to fill it out! Is there an English form anywhere?

Last question! - If I get the free 6 months, can I then sponsor 3 people and get 12 months free? Which would mean that I have an AP that lasts 2.5 years.

yes you can - because you've still paid for your annual pass.

Yep that is the form I used! Don't forget to photocopy your actual real passport too. (We included a photocopy of our AP's too just to be sure with our names and addresses in block capitals and our signature and the date. We didn't want a scenario where we had forgotten some piece of information!)
