Can I renew an AP through MS ? Does anyone know how much it costs to renew and do they send you a voucher or a real ticket??? TIA

I think DVC renewals are $335.48, including tax. A new pass is $370.62, including tax. You can purchase through MS, they will send a voucher or you can will call. However, remember that the discount is about $35 and the renewals are backdated to when the original pass expires, so if you aren't going to Disney for a couple of months after your original pass expires, you will probably get more value from a new pass than from a renewal.

Could you explain that to me?? I have a annual pass that I started using Oct 11 (close to that by a couple of days). Then used it for a Feb vac. (might try to go again before my next scheduled trip in Nov) I'm going back in Nov reservations done for Nov 4-7. If I don't go before my Nov trip should I just buy a new one or renew the pass I have.? I have been told I can renew it at the entrance with in 30 days after I first used it in Oct is this true??
THANKS!!!!:flower3:

You can renew at the entrance within 30 days, but your expiration date will be the same calandar date a year later. They don't give you the extra month. I always figure if your distance between the expiration of an AP and your next scheduled trip is more than 4 months, it's best to just let it expire and buy a new one. We are going to have ours expire next month. I plan to buy a new AP voucher right away to lock in the price, but I wont be using it until next January. That gives me a new AP for next year at this year's prices, and the clock doesn't start ticking on it until I first use it next January.

Since you are traveling in November, are you going to be returning to WDW prior to October 2009? If so, I would renew. Just remember the expiration date on your renewed pass will be Oct. 11, 2009, even if you don't physically activate it until Novemeber. And yes, you can renew in person, without pre-ordering the renewal, there is a one month grace period.
