I actually have really enjoyed Universal since I switched over. I just really like walking around and hanging out. Plus I still haven't gotten on Hagrids. I went down to the 2 park due to the fact that I got a Disney ap this year. I have to admit that I enjoy going to go Universal more than going to Disney sometimes. Less crowded (sometimes) and it can be so much fun.

The TM who helped me was very nice and made it very easy. And he also talked about the new restaurant in Citywalk which we haven't tried. May have to try it.

I too recently went back to Universal AP from having a Disney AP for two years (sounds like you have both still). I have to say I am on the same boat. Went to Universal three times since I got my pass a month ago and while I haven't been on Hagrid's yet I've been having plenty of a good time not only going on other attractions, but like you said just walking around and hanging out. Also, it's refreshing to not feel so claustrophobic sometimes with how crowds were at Disney. I feel like you can relax and take your time a lot more here while within the parks.

we've had both for years, but for the first time, I dropped the WDW passes - gonna give those parks a break for a while - too much under construction right now and way too many upsells taking away from the base park experience.

We'll continue to keep the universal ones - their special events like HHN, Mardi Gras appeal to us way more than the WDW parties - and I think they offer more for passholders and guests- like the recent bonus discounts on dining this holiday season - loved getting 20% off. The amazing Manheim Steamroller concert and wonderful Grinchmas show (which we always see 2-3 times!) And the fun Christmas tree scavenger hunt with the adorable free minion ornaments as prizes. :lovestruc

Yes, the benefits outweigh Disney’s AP. For around the same price of my Gold pass (before the AP price hike with Disney) I got not only the highest tier pass for AP at Universal, but also includes better discounts and way more benefits.

Completely agree that the UO APs discounts & bennies beat Disney's. Never thought we wouldn't hold WDW APs but we didn't renew ours in October. Definitely WILL renew our UO APs in August!

Went for a last minute one night trip Christmas Eve & Christmas Day & had a blast! Stayed at Hard Rock for only $209 with AP discount. Going to try Royal Pacific next time because I want to try them all out, lol :).

We are deciding whether to renew.....do you know if it’s still 30 days prior to expiration. I tried to find it on the website but gave up....ugh
