Who: My new hubbie Brian (27), along for the ride
Me, Renessa (24), planner extraordinaire

Saturday, July 6th

I awoke for my 24th birthday! It was great to celebrate a birthday at Disney. I had gotten a Birthday button on Tuesday from a great CM in City Hall. We had decided to head over to Beaches and Cream for an early lunch. We waited for about 15 minutes, and then had to ask for a table when the hostess showed us to the counter. This place is smaller than I imagined. Brian started with a root beer float and I had a mint-chocolate chip shake, YUM!!! We split the bacon double cheeseburger and fries, and ordered a side of onion rings. The onion rings were huge and fabulous, a bargain in my eyes. The cheeseburger was greasy, though Brian didn’t mind. Overall I would give it a B+, but would not go out of my way to return. I finally decided to give in to Brian’s need for Mini-golf, and we decided on Fantasia golf. It was hot, but fun! It was the most expensive mini-golf I have ever played. After the golf (Brian won), we needed AC, so we headed back to CBR for some down time. Upon return to the resort, we discovered that Minnie and Mickey had been there and left a nice card with an autographed photo in a CBR frame/folder. Very cute! Our evening plans included dinner at Boma, and a tour of the AKL. We headed out early, making the connection at MGM. Note: The AKL bus also made stops at BB. We checked in, and enjoyed a wonderful window table with a great view! Brian had the citrus-mango margarita, but I drank more than he did!!! I enjoyed sampling all of the foods, and struck up conversations with many of the chef’s on the buffet. The dessert table was more than extensive. I got one of everything and Brian and I sampled!! Yum! After dinner we headed to the pool area and took lots of photos! I was amazed by the closeness of the animals, and the size of the lodge. We headed out through the lobby, and stopped by the gift shop before heading back to CBR. We wanted to pay our balance in cash, so we headed to the custom’s house, and checked out in advance. This was nice! It was a huge time saver in the AM, and we had a chance to look over all of our charges before paying. We took a long walk back to Jamaica, and went for a final swim in the quiet pool. I was a little disappointed that we never swam in the main pool, but it was always loud and full, while ours was practically empty. We packed up the majority of our things, and made a few trips to our car. We called it a night, and were sad that we only had one day left.

Glad you had a happy birthday! I cant think of a better place to spend it. :)

great report!!!
We will be at AKL in 38 days! yeah!!!
You did not miss ANYTHING by not swimming in the CBR main pool. I enjoyed our quiet pool so much more!!!!!

I've enjoyed your reports. Thanks so much for the details. Best wishes too.:)
