Renaissance Sea World

Has anyone stayed at the Renaissance Sea World lately? Just curious because my DH won a stay via auction. I know it's very close to Sea World, but overall is the area safe?

The area around SeaWorld is VERY safe. We had a great stay at a nearby property (the Residence Inn SeaWorld) in early May.

The Renaissance is literally right accross the street from the SW parking lot. You don't even need to drive to the park....just cross the street and you're there.

We stayed there a couple of years ago (me, DH, DD and parents) and loved it - the area is very safe and the hotel is awesome! If you are looking to explore International Drive a bit, I recommend looking into the I Ride Trolley...both routes stop right outside the hotel - brings you to attractions, restaurants, shopping without having to worry about driving.

I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

We stayed there last year for a conference and it was awesome. The splash pool is amazing, the regular pool is fun, the staff is great. You'll love it.

This is one of our favorite hotels our family has ever stayed in. Just keep in mind that you have to pay a resort fee and like $20/day to park, that's the only negatives about it, the hotel is great.

Great place -- Atrium with a wow factor, right across the street from SeaWorld, great pool areas with heated towels -- Very safe area and awesome hotel! // Like most four star hotels though you do pay for wifi and parking, so be prepared for that.

I stayed here once for a conference 10 years ago or so. Very nice. The ONLY thing is that there was an aviary in the atrium and I am terrified of birds! Made for an interesting check in. LOL! But, I stuck it out and was very nice.
