We have a late dinner ressie at Chef de France but now I'm wondering if it's worth to try to get an early one in order to see Remy. It wouldn't require much shifting for us but I'd have to probably work at getting a ADR.

Thoughts out there?

A visit with Remy was my daughter's (13) only request, so we actually bought park tix for an extra day just to do that. Was it worth it? Yes, she was really happy to see him and the food was tasty enough. If I can figure out how to load a photo, I'll do that. I do want to mention though that it is literally a 3 min interaction & then a quick photo......

I wouldn't go specifically for Remy...For one it is not a traditional character meal, he starts his tour of the dining room at the appointed time and moves thru.He does not come back if you miss him or you are not in your seat.He also has a tendency to not appear at all and without notice. He is cute and a nice extra, but we have gotten seated late and had him not appear on us so now we just go for the food

I second RMulieri comments. Remy is really cute and is the highlight of my family's visit to Les Chefs, but we would also go (even if he wasn't there) because of the food. As you were already planning to go for the food, if you can change your ADR I would go ahead because Remy would be a neat addition.

For Remy alone, no. But lunch is better than dinner there anyway, so it would be a good double reason to switch IMHO.

Remy appears sometimes at Les Chefs de France when he is working. I know he is supposed to show up right at 5pm, and I believe also earlier for afternoon lunch. I booked dinner around Remy, and he wasn't working, so we haven't seen him yet. I am going to continue going to eat here until I get to meet Remy-I love him!!!

We had a ADR there last week and before we checked in we made sure Remy would be appearing. Otherwise I was eating at Via Napoli like I wanted :)

We sat and Remy was already making the rounds and was about 2 tables away. He stopped at our table and my son was thrilled. Ratatouille is his favorite movie right now. It was so worth it just for the look on his face, and the food was good too. We got lucky as Remy looped through the dining room again and came to our table a 2nd time as we were finishing dessert. He did stop and we invited him to join us for dessert. The "waiter" asked Remy if the health department would approve and Remy shook his head no and said "UH uh" It was so cute. Yes, if your kid likes Remy, do it!!!

Can't figure out how to get individual pics on here but here is a link to my album on Facebook from that day. you don't have to be my FB friend to view the pictures

I have a 1:30 ADR on Oct 1st that I made for the Mac and cheese before even reading that Remy was there. Should I change it to a few minutes earlier to be sure we don't miss it, or should that be fine?

Our ADR was for 1pm. We sat at around 1:10 and I kid you not Remy was our table within 5 minutes, maybe from the 12:30 pass through? Not sure. But as we were eating dessert (which had be close to 2pm) he came back to our table a 2nd time.

I just pulled my camera out. Gotta love the time and date stamp. He was at our table first at 1:16 then at 2:14 the 2nd time around

You should be safe at 1:30 but I don't know. I heard he starts at 1:40 which was why I made a 1pm ADR figuring even if there was a delay in getting seated we'd be in the dining room on time.

Can you clue me in? When does Remy go to Chefs de France? I didn't know it was a character meal at all.

I dont think Remy shows up in typical "character costume"attire...he is a little robotic character on a plate...if I understand correctly....

. . . wondering if it's worth to try to get an early one in order to see Remy . . .

1) Personal choice.
. . . is it worth the hideous price to see princesses at CRT?
. . . is it worth below-average quality food to see Mickey at CM?
2) Just depends upon your likes and dislikes.
3) But, He is different than a normal character.
4) And, the food is better than at a normal character meal.

Well, I've got a 12:30pm reservation there so hopefully we'll see him. Neat -- an extra I didn't even know about.

DS5 enjoyed meeting Remy. We enjoyed a nice lunch. Tried escargot for 1st time! Check out my 2010 dining review for pics and details.

We used the times listed on the web site below and the times shown now are the same as when we went in Dec. 2010. I understand Remy begins his rounds at these times so make sure your ADR is 30+ minutes before so you are sure to be seated in time (we waited only 5 minutes or so to be seated). Our ADR was for 1pm and Remy started his rounds right at 1:40pm about mid-way through our meal, perfect timing.

Monday through Saturday 12:30, 1:40, 2:50, 5:20 PM

Because it is not a character meal per se..Remy is a tiny little guy that is seated on a rolling serving cart.Beginning at the scheduled time his human partner rolls him thru the dining room.He moves and squeaks and his "handler" translates. He moves table to table and once he goes thru the dining room he is done.He does not backtrack to people that may have missed him.He is also pretty tempermental and seems to miss alot of work...LOL..We have managed in all our visits to catch him maybe half the time.
He does not appear on Sundays at all.

If it meant work to change your plans around, I would say no it's not worth it. Yes he is cute but it's not one of the things that are memorable on our trip.
