Does anyone have or have seen a wine list from Remy? I've searched and haven't been able to find one anywhere. Is it because the wine list is so extensive that you need to just ask the sommelier? I assume it is all French wines? I'm not very familiar with French wines so I'll be relying on the sommelier but I wanted to get an idea of the cost of a bottle of wine for budgeting. Is $100 for a bottle a reasonable budget?

We spent under $100 and it was a fantastic wine. We did, however, add a separate glass of red for our red meat course. That was an expensive glass! It was good, but a bit over the top. We went by the recommendation of the sommelier based on our budget.

The wine list is very extensive. We've done the wine experience each time - you pay a set price (around $100 per person) and they pair a glass of wine to each course.

I also did a champagne pairing for our dinner instead of the usual wine pairing (DH did the wine pairing). Amazing. I had never thought of doing champagne for all courses before and I totally loved it. The pairing gives you a great range of different wines or champagnes to try. And I didn't have to make any decisions which, for me, is part of vacation. Once I've done all of the research, decision making and booking before the trip, I don't want to make any more! I just want to sit back and enjoy.

That sounds great! How did it compare in price?

Honestly, I'm not sure. I didn't really check but I think it was probably about the same price. Whatever it cost, it was totally worth it. I love champagne and having an entire meal paired with all kinds of different bubblies was a wonderful opportunity too good to pass up.

We love red wine but have a real problem paying too much. I think we paid about 50 for a bottle at remy in Nov. for is it was absolutely fine and killed my husband to pay even that much! But we drink red wine with everything because we don't like white so we are hardly experts. We always get the wine package on our cruise but they don't accept or offer those wines at Remy although you can use the bottle from your wine package at Palo.
