Remy in Chef

Tell me about Remy. Is this a must see for a 5 year old? What time does he appear for dinner?

It's cute, but nothing spectacular.

Yes he is still there.

Currently it's:

Monday-Saturday at 12:30, 1:40, 2:50 & 5:20pm

He does not double back, so if you're not at your table when he comes through you're out of luck.

He is at Les Chefs in the France section at Epcot.

My kids consider him must see. We saw him last fall (kids were 2 and 6 at the time) and the kids got quite a bit of interaction with him and his handler. When we were planning adr's for our upcoming trip, Chefs of France to see Remy was definitely requested.

OP, I think whether it's a "must see" depends on your 5-year-old. Our pre-schooler absolutely loves Remy (regularly requests a piece of cheese and one strawberry "just like Remy" at the beginning of the movie.) He loves Remy and is thrilled to see him at Chef's. On our most recent trip, Remy's "handler" was particularly great - spending lots of time initiating conversation between him and Remy. And our two older boys (pre-teens) enjoyed it too.

But for kids not excited about Remy or not familiar with the movie, I'm not sure it would be as much of a priority.

Just one other note of caution regarding Remy. Since he is animatronic he has been known to not appear due to technical difficulties. Don't promise Remy's appearance to your child. Also, he does just make a single trip around the dining room during each appearance time, so if you're not seated at your table when he passes by you could miss him.

Are those times set?? Have they changed during the year? Changed the times? Added more apperances? Removed times (not due to machanical reasons)? ect.

Just wondering since my DH loves Remy and seeing him would be a special treat. We have 2 ADRs for Les Chefs (one on each day visiting Epcot) just not sure yet when we will do Les Chefs. This could be the deal maker for one of the ADRs.

Those are the times.He appears then.They do not add appearances, and if he breaks down he may not appear and they will not give prior notice.Also like others have said if you are not in your seat when he comes around, or are seated late he does NOT come back.If you miss him , you miss him.
