Remy dinner on DCL Fantasy

Looking at cruising next spring break 5 nights on the fantasy. the itinerary looks great with stops at castaway cay AND lighthouse point. My husband was a harder sell on the idea, but once he saw reviews for Remy dinner, he was on board. But my question is, since we don't have status at all with DCL, is it unlikely we will be able to secure a reservation? How difficult is it and should we expect to have to try once on board? thanks!

I don't think Remy dinner fills up as quickly as Remy brunch or Palo meals, so you may have a chance even without status, especially if you'll willing to take any night that's available.

As you mentioned, if you can't book in advance or if you can't get your preferred night, you can try to book what you want once you are onboard the ship.

Go for it. Remy is an experience not to be missed. If there are none available when you book your activities, RUN up their on embarkation day to secure a slot; I know they always have a few available. It's completely worth it.

I’m going on a 7 night Fantasy cruise to Eastern Caribbean on 3/2, and I also had no standing with DCL.

I was very pleasantly surprised that I had no issue getting Palo and Remy dinner and Remy dessert...but then, my cruise isn’t during the midst of spring break

Run down there. Dining reservations and changes is in front of enchanted garden on deck 2 of the fantasy. The right lane is for MDR issues. The left lane is for Palo/Remy reservations.

Sounds like our experience on RCL. We had to RUN to get the reservations we wanted. We ran and got them, so I guess this will be no different!

I have never ran down to enchanted garden and have always gotten a Palo dinner reservation. Not sure if Remy is any different - we have never tried for one. We just meander down after lunch!

There are usually lots of openings on the first night of the cruise. If you can not make a reservation before the cruise, you can usually snag one once on board.

I think your chances of getting Remy dinner on your sailing is good even if you don't have status with DCL. It is more expensive than palo and majority of cruisers will want palo brunch. I have never been to that restaurant but most reviews have mentioned that this is a restaurant you will want to visit for special occasions. When your booking opens if remy dinner is sold out like previous cruisers have mentioned just go to the dining change on embarkation to score remy dinner.
