The short answer is that lifestyle shoes are meant for casual wear—in the sense that they’re not built for strenuous activity.
Lifestyle shoes aren’t designed with performance in mind. Not that you can’t beeline to the bus stop at the end of the block if you’re running late, but this footwear isn’t built for traditional workouts and sports practice. They’re better suited for more everyday activities.
Thank you both for the quick reply! That's how I'd interpret 'lifestyle' shoes as well (ie not for athletic use, even if they are technically 'sneakers') so I'm hoping shoes like these Adidas are fine.
I'll give them a shot next month and come back to this thread and update in case anyone in the future has a similar question!
You will be fine. We really dressed, because we wanted to, but we saw plenty of nice polo shirts/pants, shoes as you have shown. Look like you are going to the country club-lol. By the by-the brunch was amazing!
Not Remy, but my husband's ON sneakers were considered acceptable for brunch at Palo (they made him change out of his MUCH nicer looking sandals because the dress code doesn't allow open toed shoes for men at brunch, but it doesn't say that)
