From what I understand, one of Remy's arrival times is at 5:20pm. I just made a reservation for 5pm so is that enough time to ensure that we will see him?

Should be OK, provided it isn't a Sunday (he doesn't appear on Sundays), and he doesn't break down.

It should be enough time, but remember if Les Chefs seating running behind schedule and you are seated at a table located in the start of his rounds, then you might miss him. If you are in the process of being seated when he comes to your table, he does not stop and he will not come back, so you will have missed him. If you want to be sure to see him (assuming it's not Sunday and he's working) then I would try for a slightly earlier ADR (e.g., 4:45 pm).

. . . maybe not
. . . if you are not seated promptly, you will miss him
. . . and no do-overs or walking over to him
. . . or, he might not make a 5:20 appearance

REMY Info:

1) Inside Les Chefs de France.
2) Monday-thru-Saturday at 12:30, 1:40, 2:50 & 5:20pm
3) Visiting
. . . he usually comes out right on schedule
. . . the cart makes one trip around the eatery
. . . you must wait until he comes to your table *
. . . you cannot get up and go over to him, handlers make sure of this
. . . if you miss him, he does not make a second trip
. . . you must wait for the next scheduled time
. . . if your ADR is near a scheduled time, be early
. . . you may not be seated on time, and will miss him
. . . you might be in line waiting for a table when he appears
. . . if so, you wait for the next scheduled trip

* If people gathered around the cart, it would clog the aisles. Also,
guests might be pressing their shorts and clothes against other guest's
tabletop and food (eewe, yuck, gross). Also, he is a temperamental little
critter, and occasionally does not appear at all, and with NO PRIOR NOTICE,
so use caution when promising him to little ones to avoid disappointment

We had 4:50 ADR's for our group of 10 last Thursday at Le Chef's. We were seated by 5:00 and our table was Remy's first stop when he came out at 5:20.

We had a 5:00 ADR last November, we arrived at 4:45 and were seated at 5:00 exactly. We also were Remy's first table at 5:20!

Where was your table? I'm wondering where his route starts.

When you walk into the restaurant you can either go to the left (closest to the windows) or to the right (closest to the kitchen). We were on the right very near the front of the restaurant. In fact our table was right across teh aisle from the kitchen, and Remy came out of the kitchen and right to our table.

Thanks for the fast reply - sounds like this was the room that faces the courtyard of the pavilion, not the larger room that faces the promenade and the lagoon.

Sounds like a strategy when checking in might be to ask for a seat in the larger room to give oneself a bit more time before Remy arrives.

Yes, it was the first room of the restaraunt which would be the room closest to the courtyard. Your strategy would work assuming that he takes the same route every time. But also keep in mind that he probably finishes his round of the restaurant in 30-45 minutes, so if you have to wait longer to get a table in the larger room your strategy could backfire.

We had the exact same table!!

Funny, I had no idea Remy ran on a schedule. I knew he didn't come out of the kitchen all the time, I just thought we lucked out when he came to our table. Then again, this was a few years ago (and my birthday) so maybe things have changed.

He is worth seeing!!!! We took DS there for his 6th birthday. He lost his first tooth while at the table (right before Remy came by) and between the tooth, DS's b-day, and I think DS's Remy t-shirt (he wore it just for the occasion) the handler spent A LOT of time at our table. Time it right and make sure your ressie has a note if you are celebrating something!!! He was ADORABLE!!!!!

(Also on a side note... if you are seated to the far left of rest. you can sometimes see Marie come and go between character greeting times. Remy happened to be at our table when Marie went by and spotted Remy through the windows. They then had a through the window game of cat and mouse (rat) and the handler had to chase Marie away as she even tried to come in the side door to get to Remy. It was hilarious and made my DS and DD laugh for days afterwards!!!!!

We were there last Wednesday at around 5:30. I had no idea he was there and was so happy to get to see him. He made it over to our table around 5:45 or so.
