Remy $10 per person price increase

At this point, with the terrible exchante rate, we are priced out. DH still hates me for our 250$ bill from our last Remy dinner. LOL

Well ouch! We enjoyed Remy dinner when it was $75 per person without the wine pairings. I doubt DH will spring for the price increases.

I was thinking of trying both brunch and dinner. Well, I guess I will try dinner and skip brunch.

With wine pairings at $105 each (and with a glass of Port which is NOT included in the pairings) one could approach $450 for a meal at Remy--on a ship where most food is free.

That should cause many to take pause and think it over----

I guess as long as people are willing to pay, DCL is happy. But I've eaten at some of the best restaurants on land including wine and paid less than 450.

If the Palo upcharge increases, that would pretty much settle the specialty dining question for me.

The Port they offered (and remember that isn't included in the $105) was a choice of either the $15 a glass--or the $75 dollars a glass.

I booked a reservation prior to the increase. Any idea if they will charge the old price or the new price (It said $85pp when I booked the reservation)? Trying to decide if I am still interested. Thanks!

What I'm seeing is that they will honor the old price if you booked at the old price, but nobody will know for sure until it's tested.

A $10 increase pp isn't a deal breaker for me. I just wish they'd vary the menu occasionally.

Do we remember what happened the last time they increased them?

Thats a shame... since the wine pairing is far too much alcohol for me though we'll still go again at that price. I can get arguably "better" food at a restaurant at home, but the atmosphere and staff are both a big draw for us too. In my city everyone goes to dinner in jeans and t-shirts no matter how nice a place it is, so I can't really get the same feeling here.

Don't forget, you already paid for a meal in your cruise fare that you are now paying on top of... the dinner is now more than some cruises (albeit not DCL) charge per day...close to 2 if you hit a good sale....
So true. Reminds me of paying for MNSSHP or MVMCP at WDW on top of a regular ticket. It gets to be a really expensive day at that point.

Well, if you put it that way I am definitely out! I loved our experience at Remy on our last cruise, but we could get two great dinners at home at that price. Actually, three when you include the one we're already paying for.

I know why they increased the prices. I am thisclose to being able to book for my upcoming cruise.
