It seems we have several stickies that no one has participated in for awhile. The "menus" thread seems outdated and the "dining" information thread does not seem to be used much. What's your opinion on taking the sticky off of those two threads? Yay or nay?

Yay.
On the Hotels unstick the "check your signature" and stick the room assignment threads for all 3 hotels.

Yay.
On the Hotels unstick the "check your signature" and stick the room assignment threads for all 3 hotels.

Do you mean the leave these three threads that are already stickies:
Sticky: PORTOFINO BAY HOTEL Information
Sticky: HARD ROCK HOTEL information
Sticky: ROYAL PACIFIC RESORT Information

If the stickies are active or if people are reading them, I think we should leave them. If we get rid of some of the inactive stickies, we can possibly add some stickies about meal deals, etc.

We can probably get rid of the fan club thing because it is pretty much defunct as well.

i agree with the others....fan club and menus.....the dining i think people read...plus, they like to look at our "food picture" threadpopcorn::

i was checking out the stickies.

the menus at universal started april 2002 and only on page 7.
it's not many websites listed for menus except the UK site.

i say be gone with that sticky.

leave the hotel stickies. i go back to it for references on occassions.
also, those stickies do have postings weekly lately.

if a sticky does not have any new postings within a 10-12 day time period, it's time to examine their value as a sticky.

dining thread is also out dated. what was the case back 5 years ago, isn't the same necessarily now.
it started april 2002 and 6 pages long.

yay on removal of menu, dining, fan club stickies.
that's my vote since you asked.

I unstuck the Fan Club and the Menu thread. Both are outdated. I'll leave the dining thread for awhile. I can always unstick it later if it isn't viewed much.

How about the Universal fans we need your reviews. Isn't that realllllllllly old too? Or do we still need reviews?

You are my long lost twin, aren't you? That was my reasoning for removing the outdated sticky threads. I wanted a sticky on how to get to Universal from Disney, Meal deal facts, and young kids at Universal. The express and height are in Yaytez's thread. Maybe we can either add to that thread or make stickies for the other topics. We can discuss it after the boards come back up. They are going down in 10 minutes so I better hurry and post this.

Fan2Cskr translated what I was looking for. Keep the hotel info threads and add the room locations that are frequently requested. Other possibile stickies for hotels are:
How far/how much time to walk to...
Transportation/Parking

I think the "All 3" may have run its course now that Damo got there.

BTW, Bev, good job movig stuff already i.e. SeaWorld:thumbsup2

OK, this is kind of for the resorts board, but I think we can combine some of the stickies into one sticky of resort FAQs. I think there are too many stickies now on that board (JMHO). Kind of like this:

Staying at the Hard Rock Hotel, Portofino Bay Resort, or Royal Pacific Resort? Start here! FAQs

Other FAQs:

Q: "What hotels qualify for FOTL?"
A: Only RPR, PBH, and HRH qualify for FOTL privileges.

Q: "If I stay at RPR, HRH, or PBH for one night, how many days do I get FOTL?"
A: You get FOTL on the day you check in until the day you check out. So, a one night stay gets you 2 full days of FOTL.
Q: "So wait, I can check out, leave my stuff at the hotel, go to the parks, and still have FOTL all day?"
A: Yes, as long as you haven't handed in your room key at check out.

Q: "Hey, what's FOTL anyway?"
A: FOTL is the acronym for "Front of the Line." Is it really Front of the Line? No, but it does mean that you can flash your hotel key and gain access to the Express Lane for all rides that offer Express.

Q:"If I check in early, can I still get my hotel key for FOTL even if my room isn't ready?"
A: yes

Q: "Does every member of my party need a hotel key for access to the Express Line? Even my kids?"
A: Yes, every member of your party is required to have their own hotel key for access to the Express Line. Adult keys are marked with an "A." Child keys are marked with a "C."

Q: "I need a good rate, where can I find one?"
A: Start here: http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1322866

Q: "Tell me about Club Level. How is it different than Disney?"
A: Club Level is offered at all 3 on-site hotels. Club level offers continental breakfast, light snacks, sodas and bottled water throughout the day, evening beer and wine, hot and cold appetizers from 5 - 7 pm, and desserts from usually 8-9, sometimes 10 pm. Club level is different from Disney in that you shouldn't expect the concierge to contact you prior to visit to help you with reservations and your itinerary. The club lounge will be staffed with a concierge team who will be happy to help you make any arrangements you need once you're there. And, there is no cordial hour or free cocktails other than beer and wine. Mixed drinks are available during evening service (5-7 pm) for a $5 pour.

Q: "Do the RPR, HRH, and PBH offer a frequent guest program?"
A: Yes, it's called Loews First. http://www.loews-first.com/Loewsfirst.asp

Q: "Ok, so what are the perks for being a Loews First member?"
A: http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=262594

There also needs to be a FAQ on parking, but I can't help there because we never bring a car. Anyone?

we do get about 10 new threads weekly with the same questions on some of those topics........if you make them a sticky, do you think they will be read?

I think those all have good threads somewhere, we just need to find them.
