Not sure this is a problem anywhere else in the country, but here in MS the lovebugs are out in droves!!! They are all over my front door (which is white) and my car (which is not). Anyone have any secret remedy for removing the little buggers?

I used a hose and a scrub brush (one made for cars that doesn't scratch the paint) on my car. Remove the dead bugs as soon as possible because they will eat your paint. I also have a bug screen on my front bumper and it keeps them out of the grill. You can get them at auto supply stores.

Try soaking a dryer sheet in water for a minute or 2, then wiping them off with it. If they haven't been there too long, they'll come right off.

Thanks. I will try the dryer sheet. I've tried the brushes and on some parts of the car it works but not on the front bumper.

Seems like all I do this time of year is wash my car and the doors on my house. All of my doors are white and they just swarm, especially the front door! This year once they are gone I think we will be painting our doors a different color. Every day, I sweep the porch, clean the door and spray bug spray to keep them away for a least a little while and repeat the next day! UGH!!! Lovebugs are the only thing I do not like about this time of year!
