Remote F for Pentax, question.

Does anyone use this? I just bought one and tried it but it does not seem to auto focus on the half push. You either need to pre focus which seems counter productive or focus on infinity then take the shot with the remote.....

OK,,,I got the answer from the Pentax forums. There is a function "Auto Focus from Remote Control" that needs to be turned on. I did not see it in the manual but it is on page 7 if anyone is interested.

I believe that's just for the wireless remotes... the wired remotes should behave just like pressing the shutter button on the camera itself, in terms of focusing on half-press.
