Remodeling Contractor

I'm going to be getting some work done in my kitchen. I've talked to a local remodeling company and I liked several things about them. They are a local established business, check out with all organizations (BBB etc). They also handle all types of updates so they could do everything I need done. Kind of one stop shopping.

The problem is that they came a little over a month ago I haven't gotten an estimate or any communication from them. I did call and they asked for my email address but again nothing.

I have some changes to the plan we originally talked about so I've considered calling them and starting over with the changes I want.

Not sure if I should just drop this company or try again. I think they are just busy which is a sign of a good contractor but their communication is lacking. WWYD?

I would not use anyone who doesn't respond or follow up ... especially right in the very beginning with the estimate stage!

We were contractor shopping a few years back, and luckily we found a great guy who came when he said he would and gave us estimates when he said he would.

I couldn't believe how many contractors didn't even show up to the "estimate" appointment! And a lot did and said they'd fax/email me an estimate, and I never heard back.

I figured better to find this practice out early in the estimate stage than later when they're in the middle of my project or after when I need something touched up.

We found our guy through my hubby's work. He asked around, and his bosses (sisters) used him extensively and were very happy. He took care of our bathroom for us and is about to remodel our kitchen.
