I've noticed on some threads people are remodeling, and even have before and after pictures... I am soo addicted to these kind of projects!!
If you are remodeling your home, or have, please post pics here!! I love to see what everyone is doing!!!

bump!
I'm hoping someone will post some because it helps to motivate me and my computer is too slow to bring up 'Rate my space' on HGTVs website.... lol

If you dont have before and afters...I'll settle for afters :)

Here are some pics of my kitchen to get us started. We have an old house, and we "restored" kitchen & pantry. Picture yellow painted metal cabinets, linoleum floor, etc as the before pic! We wanted it to look like it had always been here, and not a "2000s" renovation. Soapstone counters.

This is the pantry, which has original wood cabinets. We had the rest of the cabinets made to match and put new hardware, paint, etc.

This is the seating area, which we had built. There was another pantry there, but we opted to knock it our for seating. We found original wainscoting covered up all over the kitchen, which was great 'cause we were going to put it in!

Pooh'spixie,
This is beautiful! I love you cabinets! I love the bead board! I love the paint color!! Y'all did a great job. It looks new and fresh but goes with an older house perfectly so it does look like it is supposed to be there. Is that subway tile? I love subway tile but I do not think I will get to use it. :(

Wow! You did an amazing job! I want to do the same thing--paint the cabinets white and put in dark countertops, but updating the kitchen is on the 30 year plan!:lmao:

Yes, it's subway tile. We actually put it above the stove and in the second pic, between the cabinets and counter is all subway tile. I really love the way the kitchen turned out. Thank you for all your compliments! :)

Any more people? This could be a fun thread!

Okay, I will now post our bathroom renovation...it was a half bath near the kitchen. When DH pulled the linoleum up we found the holes for drain pipes, so that at some point there had been a tub in there. Soooo, we figured we'd "might as well" (Dangerous words in renovating!)go for the clawfoot tub. I am really proud of DH's work on this, he had NO HELP whatsover and did everything himself, plumbing, tiling, etc.

I love the fact you had that much room for the table when you took out another pantry!!! Soo neat looking!
And, I love the era that goes along with the bathroom! We have a bright yellow clawfoot tub downstairs off our bedroom with similar faucets. But, NOTHING else is done downstairs except for the plumbing :upsidedow

Thanks for sharing!!!!!!!!!
I will work on finding some 'before' pics of the few 'afters' I have this evening.

Pooh's Pixie - Love your kitchen & bath. Nice work!

We've done quite a few rooms in our house, but the only pics I have on this computer are our fireplace / living room wall. This was DH's first attempt at tiling and I thought he did a pretty good job! :thumbsup2

Sunlver, that is stunning, unique, beautiful. He did a wonderful job!!!!!

Great thread!! Love seeing all the gorgeous photos.

Right now we have the $$ for some updating but not the time. DH and I both work Monday though Friday and find it very difficult to take time off to get estimates, interview people, etc. We picked out tile for our kitchen a few months ago but...!!

Well, if you lived close enough my DBF could do it.. it's pretty cool he can do this all for us, saves the pocketbook that's for sure!! Now, it's opposite for us..it's finding the money!! LOL (I think I know where we left it... WDW)
