We just got home from a very quick business trip in FL and snuck in a night at WDW. While in the French Bakery in Epcot a CM told my husband, who is French, that next month they are closing and a new bakery will open?
I had not read or heard this before, might be old news for all I know:laughing:
Thought I would post it.

I havent heard anything but I hope its true.
Weve never managed to get in there as the queues are usually massive and trying to get in with a wheelchair seems impossible. so weve never tried.

I do believe it to be true. My husband always likes to ask the CM's in the French pavillion where they are from and how do they like living in the US. He has lived here for 25 years now. Anyway, the CM said that they , bakery folks, will be working elsewhere because of the remodel. I agree the que is awful and I think the CMs in that bakery always look the most stressed out. It just never stops for them. We go back in 2 weeks so I will post what I hear then.
Happy Holidays!

I really really like the french bakery food! I know they need a new building, I know, but please tell me it will be done by September!:upsidedow

I think the main problem there are both the guests and the CMs not the queue setup itself.

Same at the bakery in Norway.

First people do not realize that there is the same stuff in both queues so they can't make up their mind where they want to stand. Then, once they arrive at the CM who takes the food orders, they don't know what they want, even though they had plenty of time to look at what's available. Finally, when getting to the CM who takes the drink orders, it takes the CM extremely long to fullfill that order. I usually order a hot tea there and I sometimes had to wait 5 min. or so. It's not like they would have to boil the water first, I have no idea why it takes them so long to get hot water from the machine and put a tea bag in it.

At least the cashier usually is pretty efficient, unless there is a guest who wants to use dining plan points and gets confused on what will be charged to the plan and what he has to pay OOP.

Though I have to say they really have the best croissants anywhere outside Europe!

Disney has not made any announcements to this effect, and I don't consider anything official until Disney says it is.

I agree. This is long overdue for a rehab. I'm sure many people skip it due to the long lines, lack of tables and tight feeling of the area.

Not like Disney to leave money on the table which I believe they are in this instance.

As much as I do agree that it's definitely needed...I really hope it's after January;) Was really looking forward to a good napoleon!
