Reminder to check Orbitz (and other US agents)

Its a site I have booked thru 5 times now but I still keep forgetting to check with it being a US site. On Thursday I booked our flights for this year, direct with Virgin over £800, Orbitz £640.

Tonight I was checking random dates and it came up with this:

Manchester to MCO return Wednesday 9th - Wednesday 30th July
VA £1,269.33 (Fare GBP 937.00 TaxesGBP 332.33 Total GBP 1,269.33)

Orbitz Total due at booking $1,022.60 (Taxes and fees included)

That converts at todays rate of $1.6482 to £620.43, less than half booking direct, also no credit card fees on US sites.

Some dates no saving but others half UK prices so keep checking.

Thanks Wayne - we are looking to get our flights 20/10 to 3/11

Trying to decide whether to book the indirects from Heathrow (US Airways via Charlotte - 12 hrs) with Disney direct for £530 each but hubby wants to hold out and see if we can get a decent price on some directs from LGW.

Heathrow does add cost to us as Gatwick is closer and easier to get to and the real cost saving of flying from LGW is around £160.

Direct flights with VA are cheapest at the moment at £710 but seems to be around £650 on Orbitz.
