Reminder to all Dis'ers

I recently saw a signature that said "Hi. I am a Dis Form and VMK Fan Form Memeber." Remember, this can get you banned.

Dis is fine, but you can't say you are a Dis Boards Member. Dis could either be Disney or Disboards.com

Everyone has their own comfort level with what to say in game, but a "VMK Fan Club member" I don't see as violating vmk rules. (Unless that's a message board I am not aware exists.) As for, I am Dis, that's the long-time debate. Many have stated they just tell people if asked that it just means Disney. It does not say "dis boards."

I personally have no reference to DIS in my signature at all. That's my comfort level.

Not seeing VMK fan Club - unless you mean Fan Forum which is distinctly different. Google it, you will not find a site titled VMK Fan Club - It will however bring up nearly every other site that is a vmk forum (also not its proper title). As far as getting you banned anything is possible, if that was a site that would be pretty specific, they would most likely tell the person to change their signature. I know of knowbody with Dis in their signature in 2 1/2 years that has been banned specificly for that. You don't however want to broadcast it and what it is, that would get you the ban, and a few have recieved that.

I'm also not saying "I want this person banned," I'm just saying that I think that people can be extra careful.

Some people have been asked to remove it. I personally wouldnt expect any bans from it unless you dont take it out if a staff member asks you to. I myself dont put it in there, but I have many friends that do.

I think it depends on the situation. If it was reported by another player I bet they are more likely to ask you to remove it. If you did have "dis forms member" that would be pushing it for sure tho.

I agree with most of you. I think that it is OK to have it in your VMK signature just as long as you don't go around talking about it. If I see it in someones signature I just aknowledge the fact that they are most likely on the boards and thats about it. I would think that only if you take it to the next level and were talking about it more extensively, that could quite possibly bring on a ban for sharing information.
