reminder: new 8 Simple Rules on tonight

The 5 of us sat down and were watching it together. About half way into it, I noticed my 9 yr old was no longer in the living room with us. I went looking and found her in her bedroom, watching the show in there. She had her "blankie" in her arms and was crying. :( I convinced her, after calming her, to come back out with us. She watched the remainder of the show curled up in her daddy's lap. I guess it got her thinking about what can happen in life. I thought they really handled the show well and you could see the emotions on the show seemed genuine. ::yes::

they handled the show very well i thought...i sobbed...

so very sad...

I thought it was a very moving and well written show. The hardest part for me was seeing the obvious pain and sadness on the part of the "regular" cast members. My heart truly went out to them. This had to have been the hardest show for them to do. First all the rehearsals and then the final taping of the episode. I have to admit I did get a few chuckles, but did end up crying at the end of the show. James Garner did a wonderful job as did Suzanne Pleshette. My hats off to the writers for their great job.
