I see a lot of people with frustrations such as I had encountered with TRU on cyber Monday with a deal on the Wii bogo for 50 percent off and trouble with google checkout. Both the strore and internet basically took the stance that they dont have to honor the price (price match they were calling it when really I just wanted my order fulfilled.) I knew I was right and called corporate, it was time consuming, but was a success.

On Thanksgiving Day, I went to Old Navy for Rock Band 2 with the free guitar. The girl scanned the barcodes from corporate (so that way it would show the game and the guitar for free). It scanned at 19.99... and she was told by the managers to price adjust it to 39.99.
I tried to put up a fight about it, but I really needed the guitar. So I called corporate office on Friday, asked how much the game was supposed to be sold for. She told me 19.99 (for all the systems), and I told her what happened. So now they're sending me a 25$ gift card. Apparently the DM told them before the store opened to adjust the price FOR NO REASON... so it affected all the Orlando stores. I'm sure he's going to be in trouble for that.
I told my friend who also got the deal, and they refunded his money in the store. And I called up 2 other mom's who were in line with me in the morning and again at night for the black friday deal, so they could get their money back too.

wow, unbelieveable! glad you had success though! it is a time consuming pain, but the satisfaction of getting what you were supposed to get is worth it at least.

That is like the DM of Gap Outlet in Massachusetts. Late summer they were running the 30% off coupon at Old Navy, Gap, Outlets, etc.. I had a store credit and gift card. They wouldn't let me use my 30% coupon and store credit/gift card. No place on the coupon did it specify a form of payment (i.e. Gap credit card) or restrictions, so I ended up paying $50 out of pocket and was furious. So when I got home I called the Gap outlet on rt 535 in LBV, they were taking gift cards w/the coupon. Supposedly this used to be the rule and was printed on previous year's coupons, but was changed for this year. Local stores were told by the DM not to take store credits/gift cards eventhough it wasn't printed. I told my local store I wanted a call from him. They told me good luck, he doesn't even return their emails and calls! After 2 weeks of nagging the store for a call, I called corporate and they promised me a call. Two more weeks went by and I called them back that he never called me, and I was offered the same $25 card. Of course I still have those damn store credits in my wallet b/c most other coupons you have to use a Gap brand credit card as payment.

I know a lot of people that work in retail that would LOVE a DM job and would gladly call back customers and do a better job than that guy. Ironically I sometimes shop when DD is at preschool and I have been in the store when a visit is going on. I can't wait for the day that I am in the store and they are getting a visit from their DM. I will gladly drag him aside thank him for my $25 gift card due to his total lack of customer service! :rotfl2: BTW, I used to be a Trainer in retail and wrote customer service training programs for the company I worked for! :cutie:

Thats crazy!! I asked one kid outside and he said he thought it was like $20, anyway there was nothing on the cards stating price and my wii rockband 2 actually rang up at $39.95, they didnt need to price adjust. Anyway they were a little hectic but I got my guitar.

Well turns out the game was $19.95 at best buy. You guessed it, i returned my game at old navy and bought my game at best buy. Loss for them cuz I still have my free guitar. Everywhere else had the game for $19.95, not sure why they were so expensive, I guess now I know, it was suposed to be cheaper and someone messed up on the pricing. I cant believe they would actually adjust UP for you tho. WOW!!!

I did stand in line for the Lego Rockband, that was great!!

They were also offering Beatles Rockband for 60$, which is the normal price for it. I was thinking of exchanging for that one, and returning the beatles version to best buy or wal-mart for store credit, and then getting the RB2 at 20$ and I'd still have 40$ for another game.
This is the first time for us having the game, so I'm having to buy ALL the pieces. And yeah, wal-mart had the bundles for 50$ but only for PS3 and 360, which doesn't help me.
So now we have 1 guitar and 1 drum kit, 2 rockband games, and I got used copy of Guitar Hero at a closing Blockbuster.
