On Sunday, March 14, 2010 at 2 a.m., Daylight Saving Time begins in the United States.

Yippppppppppppie!!!!!!

Thank you for the reminder... I totally forgot... and we FALL back right?

nope we Spring forward. I HATE it. I love getting up and leaving for work when the sun is out. I HATE going back to dark mornings.

Same here. We finally aren't in pitch dark in the morning and they go mess it up. Ever since they changed this our kids are leaving for school in the pitch dark. I just don't like it!!!

I'll like it once I get used to it, but I hate that "losing an hour" thing. I've even tried going around and setting all the clocks forward early in the day and eating supper at the "new" time, so we can just go to bed an hour earlier and it won't be so bad, but it never works. No one is tired an hour earlier.

The only people I know who are really excited are the people working 11-7 that night. They only have to work 7 hours. :upsidedow

It sucks here in Indiana since our idiot governor switched us to the Eastern Time Zone using DST. It will now be pitch black in the mornings and by June it will be light out until 10pm.

If we had to start moving our clocks around, we should have at least been put in Central time like Chicago.

:confused3 I never understood why we are on Eastern DST? I mean we are closer to Chicago then New York. :confused3

:cheer2:...YEAH! Spring is near!
Funny story...my dad, bless his heart, used to change the clocks EARLY-when I say early I mean at around 4pm...one night my brother was out & strolled in around 3am & changed the clocks-ya know doing us all a favor-little did he realize that they had been done already!!! :lmao:

Arizona doesn't observe DST, so we never have to change our clocks.:) We remain on MST year round. One would think it would make things less confusing, but even though we don't change a thing, everyone around us does.

So, for part of the year, Arizona is one hour ahead of PST, one hour behind CST, and two hours behind EST. However, during DST, we are the same as PST, two hours behind CST, and three hours behind EST.

Mid-March to first of November, we are on the same time as California and Nevada, for example, but the rest of the time, we are one hour ahead. It really is confusing when everyone around you has time changes, but you don't.:headache:

I truly don't like DST on the west coast here. I am scared since next week is finals week and it is not nice knowing that maybe you might over sleep for class.
