Remind me about the Florida weather...

We are currently experiencing above normal temps for this time of year. For the most part, the humidity has not been bad, so it really hasn't been unpleasant.

The evenings cool off and are really nice.

Until a strong cold front comes through to break the high pressure system over us, it will be warm. I'm hoping it will break in the next couple of weeks. They are predicting a cool, wet winter for us.

Today it was in the high 80's with nary a drop of rain in sight . :)
Shorts are fine, but be sure to bring a few long sleeve tops and bottoms and possibly a hoodie for evening time and air conditioned locations.

Don't forget your bathing suit and coverup! The pools are heated but the air temps drop once the sun goes down. And of course the hotels are heavy on the air conditioning! :)

November and December can be a very mixed bag when it comes to weather. It can be hot, it can be cold, and if a front is coming through, you may have rain for a day or more (unlike the quick moving summer rains). Best advice - pack a little of everything. Light layers work best, with a mix of shorts and jeans. I usually visit end of November to beginning of December, and some years I have worn a jacket, hat and gloves almost every day. Some years I haven't worn them at all. Weather forecasts aren't much use more than a day or two out. So bring everything from your swimsuit to your parka, and you'll be set!

Last night was one of the most humid nights we have had in a bit. It's still been nice and 80s (mid, sometimes high) but Oct/Nov brought this awesome breeze with it. Last night, the breeze took a break. But this morning, its overcast and cooler. I can usually tell if its going to be a scorcher when I take the doggies out first thing in the morning. Its a bit misty/foggy/overcast today and it does feel humid. But we are headed to the Disney Vero Beach resort for the first time! So bring on the heat for today and tomorrow!

I'll be there Nov. 9-15. I've lost about 45 pounds this year and haven't bought new shorts/capris because I hope to have lost even more by the time I need them next year. Will I be too hot/miserable in jeans/ pants if it really is in the 80s every day?

I am here now. It is not as humid as summer, however we have had two evenings of low humidity and two of high humidity... last night I was really sweating.

We will be in WDW Nov. 7-12, 2015. Current projections are for temperatures in the upper 80s with humidity at 65%-75%. Will it be as hot and humid as the end of August usually is? Are we going to melt? It's hard to remember the warm weather; we've had full frost for several mornings recently, and a bit over an hour's drive north of here they've already had snow. :sad2: (Actually, I can't complain too much; it was 65 degrees in Bangor, Maine this afternoon!)

I live here. It will be hot. But not gross. But if your expecting fall weather that not going to happen. It's like a sunny dat with heat and some humidity. Bring shorts. Even a swimsuit, you will be just fine.

November is never cold. December either. It's warm. Feb. now that when we get chilly and need a sweater.

We just got back yesterday. It was really nice weather with the exception of one day when it rained. Even at the hottest time of the week it was very tolerable. The humidity is much lower than summer and with the early sunset it will cool down.

I had an earlier post in this thread where I mentioned it being tolerable even in the upper 80's,that's still partly true as the humidity is not bad as August but as I was getting in my car today I was thinking about this thread because no joking around,it was downright summer like hot today. It's definitely above normal and humidity or no humidity it was plenty hot,it should ease off in the next couple of days but as others have stated Florida weather is strange,I'm in Miami and we're a couple of degrees cooler than Orlando this week which is typical for a summer pattern, when we get to a winter pattern with cooler temps Orlando will be cooler than us.Tomorrow Orlando is supposed to get to around 90 in early November, when I visited Orlando in early October the highs were 83,76 and 82 and the lows were getting into the 60's so that shows you how the temps can vary especially in the cooler months, those early October temperatures I mentioned were from an early cold front that came through, usually they start mid October, this one was a bit early.

Hi! We are actually from the hour north of bangor that got snow! lol Snowman making snow already! We are down here now....and did almost melt at Magic Kingdom today! It was hot!! I love the heat...but today was a little too much. Yesterday was a tad more humid feeling to us than today though! I would keep this over what we have in store for us soon! Have a fun and safe trip!!

Well, ask the folks who were at WDW the first week in December 2010 how warm it was. We were wearing winter jackets, hats, and gloves and still freezing while we waited for the dancing lights. Of course, what feels cold to us Floridians may not feel cold to others. It starts feeling really cold to me when it gets about 40 or below, especially if it's windy. The one time I have seen snow flurries since I moved to Florida more than 30 years ago was in December. We had rolling blackouts one December because the power company couldn't keep up with the usage in the cold weather.

It really all relates to what is happening up north. If the winter starts early up there, then we start getting cold fronts early down here. Our coldest months are usually January and February, but it's certainly possible to have cold weather here in November and December, and you don't always have a lot of advance warning that a real cold snap is on the way.

I arrive on Thursday, and I am loving the weather forecast so far! I am glad it is going to be warmer during the day, that just makes for nicer evenings! The humidity should not be anywhere near as bad as August/September. It is going to be in the 70's here in NJ for the next few days, so of course I am leaving the nice weather when it is usually cold here at this time. I packed shorts, bermuda shorts, jeans, capris and lots of tank tops and tees!

<<< been in late September and early December. I prefer December as it is much cooler than September.

It has been really humid at night, No real feeling of cool. It sucks. I am NE FL and Halloween night walking around the neighborhood I was sweating as much as I did at the halloween party at disney in sept.

I am going this weekend and wish I could cancel and go later now with how hot it is going to be. SO diasppointed with these record highs.

I live here & will be at Disney Nov 7-8. I won't look at the forecast until the day before. It's too far away. lol

You won't melt. It's definitely not THAT hot even if we are having above norm warm right now. I'd pack a pair of jeans & sweatshirt for sure. Maybe even a light jacket/windbreaker depending how "cold" you are. I always bring a rain slicker.

They are from Maine! They likely wear shorts into the upper 30s.

NOrmally I wouldn't look this far out, but this heat is not leaving this week. There is virtually no hope for it at this point. Won't start cooling back down till mid novemeber.

We just got back Saturday and it was much hotter than I anticipated. Even the rain didn't cool the early afternoons down. But nights were very pleasant :)
