Remembering extinct foods

Anyone remember that pop/drink called "Orbz" or something like that in the mid 90s? I remember those were REALLY popular after that "Clueless" movie in middleschool/early high school.. They were like clear drinks with little jello bubbles floating in them or something.. I never drank them, I just had one I kept on my dresser as a teen cause I thought it looked cool. lmao

In this case, I think I'm too old to remember this! LOL Some of the posts on here, people are too young to remember. This one, I'm too old! mid-90's , I was having my first baby!

We used to get Oscar Meyer bologna sliced fresh at the deli. The stuff they still have prepackaged just is not the same.

Do they still have Charles Chips that you can get delivered to your home or office in big cans? I remember everyone in our office put money in a kitty every week for our order. They had several great flavors (jalapeno was yummy!) and pretzels and cookies too.

Oh, and Pop Qwiz microwave popcorn! It was the kind that popped up a different color; you never knew which color you'd get until you opened the bag. For some reason, it always tasted much more buttery and delightful than normal microwave popcorn. I remember my mom buying a case of it for me to take to school my freshman year in college. I miss that stuff.

I was just talking about these the other day! My husband doesn't remember them.

Peanut Butter Boppers. These consisted of peanut butter like the kind inside a Reese's PB Cup, shaped into a log and coated with chocolate chips and crisped rice. Yum.

Tato Skins. Chips made by Keebler, which were made out of the skin of the potato and came in flavors like cheddar and bacon.

Also made by Keebler, but I can't remember the name. They were mini bite-sized chocolate chip cookies that were filled with fudge.

Not sure if they still make this, but Squeezit juice drinks. Bottle was made of soft plastic and you had to squeeze it to get the juice out.

I remember Squeezits, we loved those things. They were like Kool Aid in a soft squeeze bottle, yum!!

I miss the lemonade gum, too!
And the waxy bottle that held some kind of kool-aide-liquid in them. You'd bite off the top of a waxy bottle, drink the juice, then chew on the wax for a little while. Way cool!
And Priazzo's from Pizza Hut. Mmmmm. One piece was a meal. Kind of like a Chicago-style pizza, with crusts on top and bottem and lovely meat, cheese and sauce on the inside. Don't know why they took them off the menu?
And Marathon bars. Remember how cool they were that they were braided?

I remember the wax bottles too, my favorite was "cola" flavor. LOL I loved chewing on the wax after, fun fun!!

This reminds me...plain fruit flavored Dilly Bars from Dairy Queen. Not the red, white and blue ones...the orange were the best...and not the creamsicle ones they sell now...blech....

when I was little I had pink tic tacs.. They were sooo yummy also the gum that would squirt juice.

Juice that would squirt, I remember that but not the name....was it Freshen Up? That's the one I chewed a lot.

OP, I read your heading and the first thing I thought of was entering the thread to mention Chocodiles. I've even done some research on them. There are those out there that will even mail them to you.

Ok, I finally remembered two items (after racking out my brains to come up with one).

My mom used to buy Creamy Cumcumber salad dressing. I don't remember the manufacturer, but I it!

The other thing I remember was microwavable french fries in a single serving box. I haven't seen those around in a long time.

This entire thread is like a trip through my childhood. I remember the microwave fries. My mom can't cook unless it's nuked so we got fries! Half the time they got burned. I think they were ore ida.

I love this salad dressing. I've never had the mass produced kind that you are talking about, but there is this natural market/fruit stand just outside the entrance to Everglades National Park. They have dozens of different and unique dressings made fresh. I love their cucumber dressing and get it every time we are in that area.

I see you live on Long Island. I grew up there in Nesconset. I lived down the block from the Smith Haven Mall.

I'm from Wisconsin too and I know these things. I don't know what a moon pie is though. I'm probably too young.

There is nothing better than a moon pie and a RC cola! We have both regularly at our house. You don't know what you are missing.

While I never liked this stuff, my mom bought it for my younger sister....colored french fries and colored ketchup. Blue was her favorite for the ketchup. Absolutely disgusting.

Wow, talk about a walk down memory lane. I have a ton of memories. Apparently my mom and dad had no problems feeding us total crap.

Ice Teasers - powdered drink mix, a precursor to Crystal Lite. It was fruit flavored tea...LOVED that stuff!

Bar None candy bars - the candy bar that defined my high school years. I think I bought one every day in the cafeteria at school.

Astro Pops - do they still make these? I got one every time we went to the movie theater and at the swimming pool in the summers

Grape Hubba Bubba - I got a multipack for my 8th bday at the skating rink. Best present ever!!! Thought I had died and gone to heaven. That was the softest, tastiest gum ever.

Jungle Juice - made by Purity Dairy here in Nashville, although I am sure other dairies carried it as well. I always had either a carton of Jungle Juice of a carton of Dair-E Lemonade with my lunch everyday. Never was a big fan of milk.

Slurpees - sold in convenience stores, similar to an icee but the ice chunks were bigger...it was like a fruit drink with tons of little ice pellets in it, like a sno-cone but not, lol. The logo was a dog wearing a slurpee shirt. Haven't seen those in a while, I guess Icee took over the market.

Koogle - chocolate flavored peanut butter. In my distant kid memories it was the best stuff ever!

Five Alive - someone mentioned it earlier. Seems like it was similar to Sunny D? I can remember making it (came in a concentrated juice can in the freezer section) but can't remember exactly what it tasted like.

Fruzen Gladje - ice cream. Haven't seen it in years.
