Back in March of 1998 we were checking in at the Wilderness Lodge. There was a short line but I could see this brochure with a tree frog sitting on the front desk / counter. I was squinting to read and thought it said...."I Just Can't Wait!" well, when it was our turn to check-in, I picked up the brochure ans saw that Animal Kingdom was OPEN for Resort Guest Preview. So, my wife, 5 year old son and I went to AK before it was officially open to the public. We had the park literally almost all to ourselves! Dinosaur (then "Countdown to Extinction") was darn scary when we wer the ONLY people on it. Absolutely no line for Kilamanjaro Safari!! Best of all, my son who always refused to wear Mickey Ears (I think he was switched at birth :rotfl2: ) actually wore one of those pith helmets with Mickey Ears all day. A Dad's dream come true! :)

We still have great days at WDW. Like when my youngest son said on our last trip, "Daddy, will you go on Dumbo with me?" Gosh, I'm tearing up just thinking about it.

Ok...I have a few...
DBF and I, making many return trips to the world since being together for nearly 3 years, both got to go to WDW together for the 1st time by the accident that our families decided to go at the same time! We had such a fun time exploring Disney together...riding rides...DBF leaving his cell phone on SM and us having to go find it..just too many fun memories. Well...we have been back together twice since then, the most recent being last September...we enjoyed our dinner on our final night at California Grill...enjoyed an excellent meal...and then Wishes began to start. Our waitor asked us if we would like to go outside on the observation deck and watch. Let me say...that was the most beautiful, breathtaking moment...watching Wishes with such a grand view...and just enjoying being held in DBF's arm. The only thing to spoil the moment was the thought that we would have to return to reality the next day.

Also, once during last December, on a trip with my Family, a lifeguard at the GF came up to my Daddy and told him that a family has cancelled last minute for their Wishes specialty cruise, and asked if we would like to take their place...free of charge. The rest of my family was tired, and would not go, but my Father and I did. It was the funnest thing ever...and part of the reason why I keep coming back to WDW...for the magical moments that happen. (We actually count the magical moments while we are there!) Anyways, our boat driver took us on a tour of 7 Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake before Wishes, and then parked the boat in front of MK for the show. It was amazing...so up close...and so much fun! And, then we got to see the Electrical Water Pageant afterward!!

On the same trip...we were in the park during Wishes...and I began to cry. My family asked 'What's wrong?!'...and I replied 'I'm just so happy to be here'. This happens every time we go to Disney....I can't help it!! My family also joined DVC that trip!! Man was I excited when I could officially say I own a piece of the Magic!! (They put my name on the deed!!! )

I love WDW!!
