Well I hadn't!
Ok another good one that I MUST share with you guys!

I was sitting at my daughter's afternoon Xmas concert today waiting for it to start. Its never very busy for the afternoon one, as most parents can only make the evening show. I was able to really overhear conversations around me.

So I am sitting there and I had brought a book to read while waiting for 30 mins. There are 2 woman sitting in front of me and one asks the other "How was your trip to Disneyland last month?".
The lady replies... "It was great, but not what we expected at all. When we got there we couldn't see the big white ball at all, and the kids were looking forward to that. I had shown them that in the books. We were also looking for the big tree and, all they had was the main magic kingdom place, and another MGM place that had the scary hotel ride, but none of the other stuff in the book. So we asked someone who worked there and he said that was in Disney World, down in Florida.". The lady sat there not knowing what to say. She finally says "Oh you didn't know there were 2? And they are very different?". To which she replies.. "No, we thought there was just disneyland in California where all that stuff was. The kids were pretty disappointed."

Well I am sitting there trying to look like i am reading, but inside I am convulsing with laughter! How on earth can you have a guidebook that would say over and over Florida, Orlando,etc...etc... and not clue in that you are NOT going there!

Ok just had to share this one!

I have to say it, but that initial thought is pretty common around here! No matter how clearly I say WDW or Florida or Orlando, some people just assume it's DL. In my case, I think people just don't really listen when you speak.

That lady, however, was her own brand of clueless!!!

I should have said "Oh you went to the one in ANAHEIM? The one with the big golf ball is in San Diego!".

Guest: yea... isnt that what you told me to do?

Too funny!! I mean I guess from Canada she flew in so how could she not realise she was flying into not only a different airport to the city named in the guide book but a different state! I mean I'm not American either but even I can figure that one out!!

It reminds me of the guy I was sitting next to when we went to Kennedy Space Centre. We went to see one of those 3D movies. So we were sitting there with the glasses on when I noticed that the guy next to me was video taping the whole thing. He kept moving the lense from one eye to the other!! At what point did he realise that the whole thing looked wierd and out of focus? I guess he didn't as he taped all 30 mins of it! I would love to have been a fly on the wall when he was showing the video of his trip to his family!!

Well she did more than most people. She actually went and bought a guide book. She apparently didn't read it, just looked at the pictures.

I feel so bad for that woman. Not only did she make a fool of herself but her kids must think she's retarded. Not trying to be rude, but she must live in a box. I could understand thinking mgm was at disneyland but to not know that there are more disneyparks than in California. You see advertisements all the time, even here in Canada for parks around the world. And the guide books typically say right on the front Disneyworld Park Orlando FLORIDA!!! lol. Poor lady.
