remember the shows in Toontown?

When I was younger, and it was Mickey's birthdayland/starland, after you'd go through mickey's house you could go see a live show. It was once a play about mickey's surprise party, and one for disney afternoon. Then you could go meet mickey in his dressing room. I haven't been through his house in so long, and I know there isn't a show anymore. How is it set up now?

I thought I was crazy. This is what I remembered too. I was excited to take my little ones to this. So what is it now, if it is not that?

Now you go through Mickey's house. Then his garden and such. You end in a "tent" w/ old Mickey movies playing on a screen. The theme is a carnival type tent setting. This is where you wait in line. You then enter a room for photo's.

That doesn't sound as fun : ( Before you know it there will be lines in the middle of nowhere just to stand in a line. Because it's fun.

What did they do with all that space where the stage and such used to be? Is it a meet and greet area now? It was kind of a big space.

I remember those shows and I loved them. Remember Chip and Dale baking Mickey's cake and just throwing everything in. Goofy, I think, put it in the oven and turned the heat up really high and oven essentially exploded! Then you walked out of the theater and saw Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Chip, and Dale on top of a giant birthday cake. I have videos of this and love watching it!

The "tent" where those shows were is now a retail space. I believe it's also an extrance to seeing some other characters. We saw the show there for the Disney afternoon with Rescue Rangers. It was really cute.
