The feathered pair stops by daily for food! ::yes:: It is interesting to watch their interaction. The male normally does not eat while we are feeding them. He stands guard, about 2 feet behind the female, and allows her to eat as much as she wants. :D Once she is finished, he will approach and eat whatever bread she leaves on the ground. She is getting plumper by the day so I guess we can assume she has eggs. I imagine once the young ones arrive, my front yard will become a "family style" restaurant! :jumping1:

I just love ducks.

My two girls had the best time making friends with the ducks at the Polynesian. It was one of their highlights of the trip;)

You're running a pet resort!! First Thumper, now the Duck family..... :rotfl: :rotfl: I figure the squirrels are next! ;)

Aren't animals great? They really do bring us such joy and lots of smiles! Enjoy them!

Thats so cute. We have a family of squirrels who we leave food out for on our window box every day. They are sooo cute and it's funny because my dog sits up on the bay window and barks at them through the glass and they just kind of look at him like "whatever, dog". They are just not afraid of him.

I love animals. Can't wait to hear if the ducks have a baby!

Very neat, Colleen. :) We have a pair that wander though our lot most days too. Sometimes Doc flushes them out, like pheasants, LOL. They are cute. Keep up updated on your zoo.

I ride a bike trail bordering some wet lands. The area is filled with birds. A lot of ducks, and Canada Geese. It'll be really fun when they have ducklings, and goslings, lol!:D

They are so interesting to watch!:D

ruh-roh...you just bought yourself yearly visitors!

We used to feed the ducks that ALWAYS landed in our pool this time of year (the cover was still on the pool of course - inground pool)...they would quack and quack until we got out there to feed them. They kept returning to our house every year for like 5 years.

then last year my dad bought that new "flat" pool cover (so we don't get that swamp look in the back yard)...however now the ducks have no place to swim. they got all confused and left for our neighbors pool! hehehe
