Anyone remember that little computer show they used to have at Epcot? I think it was in those buildings just behind Spaceship Earth. They had a small theatre where they explained computers, etc and then a curtain was raised and you could see some of the computer areas at WDW.

I do remember. It was in what is now one of the Innoventions buildings (the one by the Electric Umbrella restaurant). Those buildings used to be called Communicore East and West, I think that one was called Communicore East, but I never was sure which was which.

I remember, although there probably wouldn't be much there to "show" anymore the way computers have miniaturized over the last few 25 years. And they are also much less of a "mystery" to everyone. Still, I thought it was a cute show.

I/O---Input/Output:D It was a cute show:earsboy:

I saw it during a visit 18 years ago and enjoyed it very much.
Of course by today's computing standards, it would be like having a 20 minute presentation about a pencil and notepad.

oh yeah, i remember it! here's another do you remember...do you remember when they had the video conferencing link and you could talk to a CM who was in a room somewhere else and see them and that was a big deal? LOL I remember having like an indepth 15 minute convo with a cute CM once (back when i was young and cute myself LOL) and remember him saying at the end that he had to go cause his shift was rotating but then he came out front a few minutes later and said hi in person *giggle*!

(there was no one else around at the time so I wasn't like holding up a line of people or anything)

Amazing how that was cutting edge technology 18 years ago!

i will never forget the first time I saw Future World. It was like the world was overflowing with endless possibilities after seeing that. I wanted to live in the color tunnel at Journey into Imagination LOL

memmoriesssssss light the corrrrrrrners of my miiiiiiiiiind...

p.s. OH! remember the way cool ambient music they always played in Future world back then??? Man, I would love to have a cd of that.

It was presented by Sperry Computers and was very cool for its' day. There was also the robot you could play math games with and many of the CRO agents were located there as well. You could also design and "ride" your own coaster.

Oh yes, I have fond memories of that show. It was our first trip ever to Epcot so my wife and I had no idea about the lay of the land. We thought we had made it through to the Universe of Energy and thought we were waiting in line to see the dinosaurs! Well, we laughed at ourselves quite a bit, and still to this day grin at each other when we are in that area. BTW...we did make it to UOE!

My kids loved all those things in Communicore - and I actually got a little "carsick" from my roller coaster design! haha! I alos remember the Michale Kackson film - the family still quotes MJ's high pitched "We're goin' in!" as he goes to save . . what ever he was saving!
