First...I'm so excited! I can't believe that I'm actually going to be able to see this wonderful fireworks show for the first time!   :cloud9:

But now I have some serious planning to do and I really need some help.

There are 8 of us going...mostly adults, but one 5yo. None of us have ever seen this particular show and I really want it to be a precious and wonderful memory for us.

Question number 1: I think I've read here that there is an area to sit on the pavement and watch the show. If so...where, exactly, is this area and can you actually see everything? Is there a "con" to this area?

2. Being that we're going on Vet's Day Weekend...I figure that we're going to have to stake out a viewing area a couple of hours early...say at 7:30 or so. Do you think all 8 of us would have to stand in our spot for the entire 2 hours? That's a long time to just stand in one place. :sad2:

3. I know that an un-obstructed view of the castle is a must...but won't the people in front of me obstruct my view no matter where I stand? DD and I are only 5'3"...not to mention our 5yo grandson. :rotfl: That's why I was thinking about the sitting area if there is one.

Any suggestions at all would be much appreciated.

Did I tell you that I am so     about seeing this show?

I can't really remember now whether people stayed seated or not, but we had no obstruction - even the kids could see fine - I videotaped. We were on the castle side of the Partners statue but still within the circular area. I think that because of the castle height there just isn't a big issue. You want to be able to see the Matterhorn (they project onto it) and have a clear view from that to the castle for Tink. There are some trees that can get in the way of your view. We got there probably 1 hr before and could run off to get treats until about 20-30 min before. This was Fri-Sun in May.

It's a great show - makes me all teary eyed! Have fun!
