These 4 guys used to open up for the Beauty & The Beast Live show. They would pretend to be microphone stage techs, set up a few mics, then start performing some old classics a cappella. The did the act for about 8 years, I think. The pre-show got cancelled by Disney in September 2008.

I remember enjoying the guys as we'd get there early for a good seat and they would help pass the time before the show. Now we just sit there and wait..... Here's a link to a fanpage: Bring Four 4 a Dollar back to Disney World. It has some videos that will bring back some memories for WDW vets.

These guys were very good. I would get to the theatre early just to watch them. I would leave after they were finished.

They were so great and I really miss it. The funny thing is I remember reading about them on the Dis and yet I fell for it when I saw them initially milling around checking the sound equipment. All of a sudden one of them grabbed the mic and began singing . . . incredibly. It was so much fun!!!!!

Loved them! I think I had seen them so many times that I knew their harmonies and how/when each guy sang......that's why you needed to be so early for the show! So sad....

This group has recently been performing at Sea World during the Polar Express Experience, under the name Return 2 Zero.

I always thought that they should have been called "The Check Mates".

And in the "penny wise, pound foolish" category, dropping these guys from the Beauty and the Beast show is one of the many things that makes me sad about the way Di$ney World now operates. It was stuff like this that made WDW so much better and so much different than any other place in the world.

I also remember the group that did pre-fantasmic shows when it first opened. They did juggling, and like the chair guys in france would stack items up real tall. Of course Fantasmic was new and commanded 3 hour wait times, but yea. I miss those guys too. Now it is a sea of people doing the wave.

Loved, loved them! We love the Beauty & the Beast show but really since 4 for a $ left we haven't been back to B&B show. We have all of their CD's (Return to Zero) and listen to them all the time. A couple years ago I saw Doug (the bass) singing with Voices of Liberty. I was so excited!!

They were such a great group! I had totally forgotten that I also have two of their CDs.

Take a look HERE.

I'm friends with 2 of the guys and know the others. One of them still works at Disney entertainment backstage, amongst other things (he performs with other people at different venues around Orlando and Fl), the other performs with British Revolution at Epcot.
I tell them all the time how much I miss Four for a Dollar at DHS.

Here's a video that shows Sammy and Erik (he mostly subbed at 4 for a Dollar) playing at Tin Roof Orlando. They play this location about twice a month under the name Liam Dunca Trio if you're interested in venturing outside of WDW. Sammy also is the Pastor of his own church and plays there every Sunday

My kids received a free CD from them when we celebrated their birthdays at B&B. They were chosen as the "honored guest". Great memories.
