Hey All! Brand new to the boards here, well I've been a lurker since our last trip in November 2010. I reluctantly booked 7 nights at CBR on the deluxe dining plan for $2787.20 (two adults). I took advantage of the 30% off, but really could use a better deal! Were staying from 9/25 to 10/2. Even though I was reluctant to book I'm still really excited! Can't wait to start making dining reservations! Anyways I wanted to see, those of you who dont mind sharing, how much did you pay for your disney vacation (room, dining plan, tickets)??

I am already thinking about changing to Coronado...any thoughts on that?

:cool2:

I think you made a good choice. It is not likely you will get a much better deal than that unless free dining comes out again this year for the fall. So at least you have the CBR now with a nice discount.

Have fun planning your trip :)

We actually booked around a similar time you're going, but we are staying at the Coronado for 8 nights. We've never stayed there before, so I cannot answer any questions, but I'm sure others will be able to answer anything you may need to know. Here's our trip w/cost. We're also two adults, staying in a King Bed room w/water front view and deluxe dining...

Arrive: 09/22/2011

Depart: 09/30/2011

CORONADO SPRINGS
MAGIC YOUR WAY DLX DINE
CORONADO SPRINGS-WATER-KING

PACKAGE TOTAL= 3072.26

Forgot to mention we did not include travel insurance.

I have stayed at both.....I like them both. I feel that CSR is more adult orientated. That being said..........

We are staying at WL from August 21 through August 28- 2(A) 1(C).
MYW+Hopper+Water
Regular Disney Dining Plan
I received a 40% off pin.
Travel not included...

Total: A little less than $3600.00

Do you like to exercise while on vacation? If so CSR has a Cybex equipped fitness center open 24 hours complete with sauna (although the sauna and locker rooms are only open during daytime staffed hours)

How about a cool libation? If so CSR has a great Las Vegas style nightclub/bar called Rix Lounge. There is even a bar on the waterfront by the marina with plush lounges.

Do you like to watch tv while on vacation? If so CSR has HD Flat Panel televisions and also iHome clock radios with inputs for your iPod or iPhone to play your tunes.

At CSR there are two queen beds in the rooms vs two doubles at CBR in the standard rooms. Get a standard room and have a bed to lay out all of your clothes on for the next day.

Like to Drink and Dine around the World? Yes, then the deluxe dine plan is perfect! You can use the snack plan options (2 per person per night) at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival to try samplings of cuisines from around the World.

You will absolutely love your vacation and 30% off is a great deal!!!
:)

it almost never gets any better than the deal you've got now and you can never combine more than one discount. What you could do to go cheaper would be to change to Value resort or downgrade your dining. At the moment I've got NO discounts at all because w can only go during summer. hoping summer discounts come out.

For 5 nights CR 1 adult, 3 'kids'
5 day tix, no PH
DxDP $ 4800

if it turns out DH can join us, it will be a LOT more.

I agree with others...aside from maybe free dining (and if you want to stay on deluxe plan you'd have to upgrade the dining plan and pay for that...) the 30% is the best deal you'll probably find for a moderate. Good job!

Here is ours staying at a moderate from 9/24 to 10/2

2 adults and 2 children
8 nights
kids free promo
7 day myw base
POFQ standard room
Added the QSDP we had this last trip and it works out best for us

We (2 adults) got 5 nights at WL in late October with MYW+PH and deluxe dining for $2536.48. That was with our 40% off PIN.

Just a thought, since you are already going a second time within a calendar year maybe switching to Annual Passes and getting Tables in Wonderland might be a good option. You'd have to go back again within a calendar year from your next trip to make it worth while.

We're in the middle of our first AP year and are a party of 2 adults, 1 child and one toddler.

Our August '10 trip was:
6 nights at the Poly 1377
3 APs 1542
TiW (20% off dining) 75
Food/drinks guess 600

Ends up around $3600

But the cool part is we're heading back down in Feb to stay at the Pop which will be like:

8 nights at the Pop 525
Food 700

Ending up around $1225

And then we're heading to the BC in June, which will probably split the difference from the first 2 trips.

I know there are lots of people who love the DDP and its variations but if you may be going back again and again (and who doesn't want to?) it might be worth your while to consider the AP/TiW instead.
