We got back late last night and as I always enjoy reading other peoples resumes of their visits I thought I would post my initial thoughts on our latest trip.
Highs:
Meeting some delightful disboarders you know who you are! DS has been looking at the photos today and giggling all over again.
The Tarzan Encounter, this is a fabulous show and I am so glad it is back on.
The Peter Pan show (following the leader). My DS was too scared to watch this when we went at Easter but this time was more prepared. Even so he was very scared when Captain Hook came out and clung on to me at the time. He really got into the show later though and afterwards we had a lovely surprise when a little girl who was dressed in a Peter Pan costume and who had been one of the lost boys on stage came towards us with her mother to give my son her certificate. I said, Oh no, you must keep this. But both mother and child wanted my son to have it which was such a lovely gesture.
Loads of friendly cast members but a special mention to those in the Peter Pan ride who remembered us from previous visits and especially to Carine who gave DS a pin.
The castle looked beautiful and we were there for the back of the castle and the upstairs to be opened up again too.
Lows:
Nothing at all from a Disney point of view except the habitual gripe about smokers they were everywhere.
The last night of our (offsite) hotel stay when the fire alarm went off from about 4 am onwards and the electricity went off too. Absolutely no direction whatsoever from hotel staff, not even an announcement to the guests assembled in the main lobby. So no sleep and thanks to what we had previously thought were wonderfully efficient electric blackout blinds we had to pack up in the pitch darkness in the morning. On the upside as we were too tired to face a long drive across France after all that, we booked in to the Cheyenne for an extra night so one more day at Disneyland!
I would also like to thank the lovely family we sponsored last year, which enabled me to pick up my free
Dream pass this year and hope they have had as much fun out of their years membership as we have.
