I read about this on another board but did not see anything about it here. So it has me wondering if it true or not. Anyone else heard anything about this? Here is what was posted on teh other site. I will post link to it but I am not sure if that is allowed so please remove it is isn't.

so, I can actually confirm the reloadable dining plan. I must admit that I thought it was nuts but at work yesterday I saw the news on an info board and figured I'd share the details. First off, I do work at the Polynesian and I'm pulling this right from our information board. The dining plan additions can be added at the front desk after guests have used at least one 'set' of dining entitlements. (for example, on the quick service dining plan, two snacks and two quick service meals must be used before adding on). Dining entitlements will still expire at 11:59pm on the day of check out. Entitlements must be added as a complete set. This will option will be available beginning August 19th. The prices are higher than I expected....
quick service plan of 2 quick service meals and 2 snacks is $39.99 per adult and $19.99 per child. The table service plan for 1 table service, 1 quick service and 1 snack is $61.99 per adult and $20.99 per child. The deluxe dining plan of 3 meals and 2 snacks is $126.99 per adult and $33.99 per child.
All of this information was collect off of an information board for front desk/concierge cast members and, for whatever reason, has not yet been posted to our cast Hub or sent out in emails but this is what I have and thought you all would like to know.
mahalo :-)
oh! and as for as add ons for free dining... there isn't anything in the info to suggestion that people who got the free dining plan cannot pay for more credits as well

If it's true, it's brand new, because it hasn't been permitted before. Those prices given are very strange, too.

I agree with you those prices or crazy and certainly do not seem like a deal. It would never work for our family because we have hard time spending our original credits. This last trip we actually had 3 CS left over and the CM checking us out told us we could use them for 3 snacks each which
I found to be very nice because they sure could have told me tough luck.

When I first heard about this rumour, I loved the idea. We have some meals we will be paying OOP for. But at those prices? It's just not worth it. It's still MUCH cheaper for us to pay OOP. But then I don't have expensive OOP meals planned - those are covered already by the DDP.

On our depature day I booked breakfast at O'hanas.
OOP for 3 adults, 1 child = $88.96.
A CS that we're paying OOP comes to $35.80
4 snacks = $16.

Total $140.76 before tax
With the reloadable thingy = $206.96

There is a thread about it on the Rumor and News board right now. As of right now that's all that it is, another Disney rumor.

The good news is that if it is true, we should know a lot more about it tomorrow.

Closing this thread and referring everyone over to the current discussion on Rumors and news Here
