In Canada can you reload a Disney gift card at a grocery store that previously sold them but no longer has any in stock? It would be one of the cards that you initially were able to choose the amount on them up to $500.

Not that I have ever heard of anyone doing. That's not to say it isn't possible, but I don't believe so.

Just making sure what you want to to do. I am reading that you want to fill a current gift card you have, but cannot find the particular one you want at your local store? Or is it you cannot find a Disney Gift Card locally to use?

They are not reloadable in store, BUT all is not lost. I am hoping that you have an existing card (even with a dollar left on it)

I manage my gift cards on the Disney gift card site, it is part of Disney (disneygiftcard.com) . I have both currencies USD and CAD cards and they are uploaded there. When I want to add more funds, I purchase an e-card from the shopDisney site, and then when I get the e-gift card # I just combine it with either my current USD or CAD card. I currently have 2 cards all loaded to go for our next trip.

Card are not reloadable. If you have a card you like to use you can buy new cards and transfer the balance to that card. I have a card that is purple rather than red like all my other cards and I reuse it each trip. I buy new cards and load them to my purple card on DisneyGiftCards.com

Yeah, because of the Amex card I have with 5x extra points by shopping for groceries, buying Disney gift cards there makes a lot of financial sense. They sometimes have them in stock and sometimes don't. If I could have reloaded an old card, it would allow getting those extra points much easier.

The story behind this question is I decided to move on from the WestJet MC because Air Canada flights work a lot better here in Halifax. Their direct flights arrive in Orlando in the morning rather than the early evening with WestJet.

After doing a lot of research, I just got the Amex Cobalt Card. The big draw is receiving 5x American Express points when grocery shopping and eating most chain restaurants. Transferring them over to Aeroplan miles adds up to around 10 cents towards AC flights for every dollar spent buying groceries.

The downside with any Amex card is it is not accepted at all grocery stores but is at the one I shop at most (Sobeys).

By buying gift cards for gas, Netflix, Amazon, Itunes, Disney, I can get that 5x worth of points for the majority of what I spend money on.

If I am spending $5000- $10,000 a Disney trip, it's really worth hunting down ways to turn buy my trip through my local grocery story ;)

Is anyone else using the Amex Cobalt Credit Card?
