im just wondering what people think of religion, religious stereotypes etc.

I'm atheist, but I think religion is fascinating.

To me, it's like a bunch of great stories, but it's not something I could ever actually believe.

I find different religions very interesting.
I love learning about them.
I'm really interested in learning more about Wicca.

Hmm, also..I don't hold myself to one religion. In fact, I dont know much about my religion, as sad as it sounds. I just know what I personally believe in, and thats all that matters to me.

I don't believe in organized religion.
I think that spirtuality and faith truly come from within, and I don't think that one person's idea of religion is ever anything like someone else's.

But if it works for other people, that's great.

Personally, all I know is that I believe in a God. I don't know exactly what I feel like His role truly is in my life or the world in general. But I do believe in His exsistence.

I believe in the one God from the Christian faith. I believe that Jesus Christ was born to a virgin, Mary.

I'm a Southern Baptist, by the way.

I'm agnostic, but from what I've been reading I'm kinda interested in reading more into Buddhism more as a philosophy.

I LOVE religious art.
We went to a museum and it was the most gorgeous art I've ever seen in my life.
Other religions fascinate me beyond belief, I love learning about them. (:

Oh, to add to that.
I come from a family of Roman Catholics, and I was confirmed into the church.

Most religious artworks are just gorgeous. I visited this huge Catholic Church once, it was the most beautiful place I have ever been in. It almost felt kind of "cleansing" to be in the building.

It was really overwhelming.
They had this Christian art section and some other religion, I can't remember which as it was about a year ago.
They had mosaics and paintings and it was just amazing.
There was this huge painting I can't remember of what I know it was of a whole bunch of people but I just stared at it for about 10 minutes because I was so taken back by how beautiful it was.

I've found that art with a deep meaning, read religion, is usually done to the best it can be. It's always amazing to look at that kind of stuff.

Oh No!!! Not this thread again...

I'm a committed Christian. God sent his son Jesus Christ to die for our sins and he rose from the dead on the 3rd day after his death. All we have to do to be saved is accept that we're sinners and trust in Jesus. I mess up a lot, but God is always willing to take me back. I have a personal relationship with Jesus and our relationship is like a father/child. I can talk to him whenever I'm upset or when I'm happy.

I'm also Southern Baptist, yet I hate splitting Christianity into different denominations. It separates the Church too much.

However, I love learning about different religions. I wont switch religions, but I just like to know about them.

Right now, I don't align myself with one religion. I believe in certain aspects of different religions. I haven't found the "right" religion for me yet. I absolutely do believe in God, and I absolutely believe He listens to our prayers and answers them.

I like learning about other religions. I find it fascinating how we're all in this one world, but we have such different takes on it.

my religion is beyond words.

basically, i have a close, personal relationship with my god and we speak about everything. i meditate quite frequently to maintain my level of inner peace. i believe what goes around comes around, i believe that good deeds are rewarded in good time. i believe that if you live life with a good heart and repent for the wrong you do and apologize to those you hurt, you will be rewarded.

Isn't that kind of like Buddhism? I think that Buddhism is the good works/good people thing. I'm not real sure. (I'll stop rambling now.)

Please me warned - I'm halfasleep. Ambien kicks in fast.

I like that. I agree with certain points in there. I definitely talk to God. I've talked to him at some of the deepest, darkest hours of my life and helped me make it through.

i don't speak to my god just when i'm hurting. i speak to him/her when i'm happy. i thank him/her for my breath, my food, my health. i thank him/her for the sunrise. i ask for forgiveness for indigressions and i ask for guidance on things i do not understand. i also ask for he/she to share his/her wisdom with others. people who need it. i ask for his/her blessing upon others. like those who prepare my food, those passing in other cars, those all over the world who need help. i ask for protection over those i love. and in return, i pay he/she back with my undivided loyalty and respect. i stand as a loyal servant to my god. but it doesn't feel like a servant/lord relationship. it feels like a friend/friend relationship. i am someone to carry out what he/she cannot physically do. like hug a broken heart. and in return, i'm granted wisdom enough to know when to act.

as i've said before. its beyond words. (but billy, its not budhism. i don't practice it the same way they practice)

I love God. I read the Bible. I'm a Christian. I do not follow a certain denomination, however I know I am not Catholic (don't believe in the saints) or Mormon (I've attended a few church services with my best friend, who is Mormon and it really didn't appeal to me). I honestly do not think that I will ever choose a denominaton. I think that my faith is between me and Jesus Christ.

As many others have said, I don't hold to one particular religion.

On the topic of religious artwork, there are some beautiful cathedrals in Kiev. The interior is absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to take pictures of the interior.

im christian and i go to an appostoic church. i go to that church because i find it easier to connect with God in that environment as opposed to other churches i've visited. i have nothing against other denominations, they all believe the same main things.

i also agree that organised religion isnt that great, it should be more of a relationship between God and the individual.

i find other religions very interesting and although i wouldnever switch, i think it's important to know a bit about them. it helps me to keep from being judgemental based on society's view.

I dont like to allign myself with an exact religion and I'm not completely commited... to any heck I wouldnt call myself a Christian just yet
I find learning about other religions to be fascinating...
I find the story of God to be a bit crazy how he rise from the cross and then descend on the 3rd day I believe...
I dont exactly believe in demon and angels
I read my bible nightly and everything else but doing that doesnt make you a Christian...
Personally I think every religion has something to it that is right and somethings to it that are wrong...
I dont know if Jesus is God or the complicated thing that confuses me just talking about it....
I'm sick and tired of playing the roll and kinda am doing it again with the God thing...
I got everyone in my church to buy that I was back to being a Christian which isnt true...
I'm exploring every religion only thing I do know is there is a God I think Mormans maybe the best for my belief really and truthfully....
Currently with my parent I go to a community church...
