Relentless Forward Motion (a.k.a. Running towards 40)

Somehow I had a feeling that your running sabbatical wouldn't last long! I'm sorry you've not felt well - head colds are the worst. Here's hoping you are over yours and feeling great now!

Even on your "light" days, you do such incredible amounts of physical activity, Amy. I am in awe of how much energy you expend every day just doing your "normal" routine. 30 minutes of exercise a day kicks my butt, so I love to read about your activity because it is so inspiring! And no break to speak of after the Goofy challenge - it is amazing to see! I think you personify relentless forward motion! Keep going - you're inspiring us out here!

Hope you have a great weekend!

Thanks!!! I had seen that so much! Let me try to use it properly now. "I hope I can PR in the Minnie 5K." Yes...is this correct??? :teacher:

Hey Amy,

I like your new digs here. For the record, you are an incredibly special person, and don't forget it. I took the pilates class, and I am hooked!

Amy,
Congratulations on another race victory! I knew you would be out there before too long. Can you stand this weather???????? BURRRRRRR!!!

Did I read on one of your posts you will be doing the marathon nexy year or the Goofy?

Have a great weekend,
Linda

Hey Amy! WTG for getting back out there and running...and at a speedy pace!! I can only dream of running that fast!

I am heading out to the trail in a little bit...not sure if you are heading there this weekend, if so maybe I will see you out there!!

Hi guys...thanks for stopping by. I wish I had a lot to report but that just isn't the case. I hate to say it...but no more running for me this week. I'm hoping to jump right back on the wagon and get out there 3 times this week for a solid 15 mile week...along with tons of core work and some additional cardio (maybe spin?). Anyway....I still haven't been feeling great but that's not a good enough excuse for my laziness. Hopefully next week will be a different story :).

Linda: Next year I'm doing Goofy again. Because apparently I really AM Goofy! ;)

Beth:

Scott: Thanks for checking in buddy. While you were busy running I was busy being lazy this weekend LOL!

Good luck this week with your running...no problem on last week, you were sick and actually not supposed to run a lot anyway.

I see the new clippie...GOOD LUCK with your triathlon, I know you'll do awesome.

Hey girl. Hope you're feeling better. :thumbsup2

So, when are you squeezing in the triathlon? You're amazing!! :worship:

HI there! If it makes you feel any better, I have been way too lazy! I'm not sick though, so no explaination for mine... I hope you're feeling better!

So...Have I mentioned I'm jealous of all your clippies??? Now 1 more!!! WOW! All I can say is :worship:

Hope you had a good weekend!
Stacie

Hi, Amy. Hope you are feeling better. I think the rest was a good idea - you have to have some down time to recuperate when you are sick.

I am sure you will go right back to your usual Energizer bunny self this week! Hope you have a good day!

Susan

Hi ya Amy! Just checking in to see how you are feeling. Better, I hope!

Hello Everyone...thanks for stopping by my humble little journal :).

So stop the presses...I actually worked out and RAN this week!!! Yay!

On Monday I taught 3 Pilates classes....but I only actually took one entire class (the others I taught and demo'd a bit). On Tuesday I worked for 1.5 hours with my Pilates trainer in addition to teaching two classes. Unfortunately I couldn't run yesterday because by the time I got home the weather had turned really nasty...freezing drizzle :(. Today I managed to get my 3 mile run in the books! I set the treadmill to hill program and did 10 mpm. It felt pretty good too! :thumbsup2 I had to resort to the treadmill since it was super windy outside. I also took a mat pilates class from a fellow instructor and taught a class as well. Needless to say I'm exhausted today.

Tomorrow I'm going to take a yoga class and hit the ski machine for 30 minutes. I don't think I can get the spin class in this week as my schedule is all flip-flopped due to putting the run off by a day. I'll run again on Friday and teach my fusion flow class. Saturday I have scheduled to take a yogalates class, teach a pilates class and maybe get another 30 minutes on the ski machine. Sunday is a "long" run of 6 miles. :)

I'm trying to figure out my new workout schedule. It's a little tricky between the kids' activities, my work schedule and the availability of the classes. But I think I've worked it out finally. We'll see how it goes next week when I can put it in motion.
