Relaxation, Disney Style, PTR. ~*TRIP REPORT HAS STARTED! 9/18 Pg. 155*~

After the crazy/hectic/awful day I had at work, I need to update to decompress. :thumbsup2

I have some random things to discuss first. I'm trying to talk Marc into doing the race with me. I don't know why, probably because I'm afraid to do it by myself. We'll see how that works out.

I called the Disney running phone number and talked to them about transportation to the race and packet pick up the day before. They weren't very clear or so it seemed to me. I might try calling back as it gets closer. They did say that the transportation to World Wide Sports (I think that is what it is called) is a bus to the water parks and then you either get on another bus that goes there or the bus eventually goes there. That was one of the unclear parts. I think I'd rather take a cab.

I've walked for the last two days. I used a website to map out my route and it gave me a distance of 1.07 miles. Today I wore my pedometer and it measured 1.33 miles. Here are my times.

6/13: 19:22 (14:33 mile)
6/14: 18:28 (13:53 mile)

I found this handy dandy pace calculator online to help me do the math of how many minutes it is taking me to walk the mile. So I'm under 16 minutes, Yay! That makes me feel better. I definitely have to keep working on my endurance as I felt like I was completely out of breath by the time I got home. And let me tell you, I should make my costume be a beet because that is how red my face gets. It's always been like that for me. I hope it gets less red as I continue. I don't want a Disney medic to pull me out of the race because they think I'm going to pass out.

I thought I'd try something new with my itineraries. This is partly inspired by Meeko, he's been doing these wonderful posts with pictures and favorites in the parks. If you haven't checked out his Pre Trip Report, you should! He always takes the best pictures. Link!

I thought pictures to accompany my daily itineraries would be fun, so I'm not completely copying him. ;)

There you have it! Day 1 of our new, improved, not to be changed itinerary. ;)

Hurray for being under a 16-minute mile! I knew you could do it! :thumbsup2

Love the idea of doing pictures with the itinerary! Can I just say my stomach is suddenly growling now from that picture of the Cobb Salad?! :goodvibes

I am very curious about Lotso Bear -- Connor and I have very different opinions about the kind of character he is going to be, but I won't say anything more in case you haven't been watching as many trailers as we have.

You new and improved plans look terrific!! Good for you getting out there and walking! :thumbsup2

Linner. :lmao: Even a made-up meal at Brown Derby is bound to be good!!

Yipppeee for the picture itinerary! I love it!!!

Congrats on the 16 minute mile! Your going to do spectacular at the 5k!!!

I just hope my math is right. :rotfl: I don't want to be deluding myself!

I really wish I could have Cobb Salad for lunch today, mmmmm!!

I'm wondering if his character it going to be like Prospecter Pete (I think that was his name). I don't know when I'll get to see it though, I have the next two weekends jam packed with stupid stuff I have to do. I much rather go see Toy Story 3!

I'm quite sore this morning, I'm glad today is an off day!!

Our ADR is for 4PM, not quite lunch, not quite dinner, so LINNER it is. :rotfl:

Love the picture itinerary idea!!! Very Very Nice!!!

Hmmmm Brown Derby...so yummy!!! Love that place!!!

YAY for being under 16 minutes!! You are going to do great with your 5k :cool1::banana::cool1:

I think taking a cab might be the best idea just in making sure you get there and get your packet!!! This is going to be such a fun race to take part in!!!!!

I am now officially hungry after that pictorial. You had to show me my two favorite Brown Derby dishes - the crab cake, and the Cobb Salad.

I have yogurt and a Cliff bar for lunch.

Soooo not going to cut it now. :rotfl:

I think I would take a cab to WWOS too....you know that both of us being September girls we need to plan these things wayyyyy ahead of time :thumbsup2 I would also take your luggage...I hate waiting for it to be delivered when switching rooms....last time I switched resorts I just took a cab so I would know that everything was there when the room would be ready :sad2:
:woohoo: on the great times!! You will be awesome by the time October comes around :goodvibes

i loved the photo itinerary! very nice !! ive never eaten at the brown derby, but your pics made it look very good! :goodvibes for your QS, if you end up going to DTD you should totally eat at Earl of Sandwich *yum*!!! :cloud9:

That's awesome that your first 5k will be in Disney! and you new dates will have you in Disney over my birthday (9/30)....I'm jealous!!! :snooty:

Found this from MeMom's thread after I saw you were running the 5K, so I have a lot of catching up to do! I've never run anything, I just started the Couch 2 5K program back in April and can run about 2 miles right now. Last week, I sprained my ankle so it's definitely set me back which is why I haven't signed up for it. Once that heals, we'll see where I'm at!

Seriously....I need personal directions when you all set up these new PTRs........I.....JUST.....FOUND.....THIS.....LINK......IN.......YOUR........SIGGIE.......TODAY!!!!!!! Have no fear though, I am all caught up and ready to roll on.....can't wait for more picture itineraries....love those! :)

Did some of the pics seem familiar? ;)

I think I'm leaning towards a cab. I don't want to deal with unnecessary bus drama. :rotfl:

Mmmmm...I love the crab cake! So yummy.

Have you tried the luna bars? I love them. Made by Clif Bar but supposedly for women. They are delish.

Glad you liked it, I had fun putting it together.

I'm a Wolfgang Puck Express gal. I liked EOS but WPE is so yummy, plus the bread with my band doesn't work so well anymore. :sad2:
