Relax boys, the belly dancer does not want your singles! 9/2 final update p.87

Thursday, 5/14 – MK, Epcot

On our way to the bus stop, I had to drop off some DVDs, so Tracy took a few pics of the OKW.

[ Apparently Tracy had a hankering for an ice cold treat the size of her head.

45 minutes later, she finished her ice cream and we hopped the monorail to Epcot.

Thanks for the pics of OKW Keith :cloud9: I'm getting very excited about being there:cool1:

OMG Tracey, did you have to unhook your jaw to get your mouth round that one:scared::rotfl:?

Thanks for the birthday wishes folks, I had a lovely relaxed day finishing my cake inbetween people popping in and then Donny took the girls and I to the local chinese restaurant for dinner so it really wasn't the painful day I thought it would be. Fact is I'm still in denial and I think I'll just NOT be forty, nobody can make me do it if I don't want to so I'm just going to do a Benjamin Button and start going backwards;)

 I am glad you had a nice day. We got Chinese last night too. Kooky. ;) I am really liking your Benny Button idea! I would like the senses I have now but I will take the bottom and top I had in my 20's. :woohoo: And I hear ya on being in denial but thus far 40 hasn't been terrible. Getting in shape makes it totally more enjoyable! :dance3: :yay: And just think you still have your trip to celebrate! :cool1:

Hi everybody. I am alive and well. I hate it when life gets in the way of my dis time. I hope everybody had a great 4th! Kirsteen, happy belated birthday!!! I can't believe your trip is so close already. Have you started packing already?

Happy Belated Birthday Kirsteen!pixiedust:

My mom stopped having birthdays at 39 (or was it 29) she said that after that she was just having celebrations of life. So she says she 39 and she's had thirteen celebrations of life. :rotfl:

I can't believe it's so close for you! I'm having my wife look over the dining options because it's just 12 days before I have to call or set my reservations online.:woohoo:

:hyper2: Any idea where you will make ADRs? That's one of my favorite parts of the trip planning! :woohoo:

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a happy 4th.

Happy late b-day Kirsteen! I hope it was a good one!

I agree Jenny! ADRs are my favorite part of planning. I can't wait to try the computerized system. It seems like that would give you a lot more room to find exactly what you want instead of having to ask someone on the phone to check 50 different times for 50 different restaurants.

 Hey ya stranger; how's :yoda:? The 4th was awesome. I posted some photos on FB but maybe I should post some here.

How have you been?

I can't wait to try the online system either! :hyper:

My only certain reservation is going to be for CRT. Jessica has requested that we got there for her birthday, although I'm not sure if we're trying for breakfast or dinner. I'm not sure if I want to rely on my computer system for that reservation though, so I may call to get that and then use the computer system for my remaining reservations.

Call me Old Fashioned but I like talking to someone !!! I have checked times etc on the online to see if I could get a better time but so far nothing available!!!

Just an FYI, I don't think their dinner fare was all that yummy. I bet breakfast is better.

I would rather talk to someone too. I would never do online check in for my room either. With online, you risk missing a free upgrade.

In my limited experience with online reservations thus far, I think I prefer talking to someone as well!

Hello All! First I have to say that this is one of my favorite TR's! You guys constantly crack me up with your quick wit! I've spent the last couple of days reading your TR (unfortunately while I'm at work, which is why it's taken me so long) and loved every minute of it! It's so nice that you all met here and have forged such a great friendship! My DH and I are very, very new to the DVC, we just closed in June and our home resort is AKV. Believe it or not, last year was my very first trip to WDW (at the age of 38 - I think that might be child abuse :rotfl:) and I've been addicted ever since. So not only am I new to DVC but I guess WDW too! We have a trip planned in ....wait for it....72 days, 16 hours....but who's counting?

Anyway, thanks for the great TR and the commentary, it's gotten me through this week! Keep 'em coming!

Not me. I try to avoid direct human interaction whenever possible. ::yes:: That's why I like the DIS so much!

Hi AJF!

Hi Bev! I'm heading over to read your TR's - so addicting these TR's are!

:welcome: Glad you are enjoying our report. We have been dragging our heels lately but promise to pick up the pace.

Your trip is in 72 days? :woohoo: :dance3: :cheer2: Give us the details.....popcorn::

Congrats on your purchase of AKV! pixiedust: We stayed there, in Jambo with a SV, and it was amazing. The next installment is about AKV. :thumbsup2

I hadn't visited WDW until 2007 and I was also 38. I had been to Disneyland a bazillion times though. :cloud9:

I am officially counting Jenna out for updates. :rolleyes1 She claims to be busy but see her all over FB daily. :rotfl2:

Not me. I try to avoid direct human interaction whenever possible. ::yes:: That's why I like the DIS so much!

Hi AJF!

:lmao: You are a real people person there Bevily! :rotfl: That makes me laugh!!!!!

The waiter was very friendly, and he thought I was Arabic like him. I’m not, but I do know a word or two in Arabic, so I tried to say, “hello.” I ended up saying “welcome” instead. lol. He corrected me, and also answered me when I asked him how to say “thank you.” After saying shukran, we headed back into Epcot. Neither Tracy or I are huge fans of IllumiNations, but I like the music, we both love WS at night, so we have a tradition of starting at one end of WS and walking around to the other during the show. That way I still get to hear it without having to look at that stupid globe, and she gets to walk around WS at night.[/COLOR]
I LOOOOOOVE WS at night! Oh wait... have I already mentioned that once or twice? ;)

holy crap! it is the size of her head! :lmao:

by the way, tracy, i have that shirt. you have EXCELLENT taste. :cool2:
:rotfl: I think it is my favorite Mickey shirt!

:rotfl2: It is the size of her head! I have that shirt too but in blue.
Hmmm.... and Keith has one too! It must be some sort of Dis-nerd uniform!

I'm not a fan either but that sounds a lovely tradition :thumbsup2
It really is. The people are all crowded around the lagoon so the sidewalks are virtually empty, the buildings are all lit up for the show. It is very romantic!

OMG 25 minutes? Really :faint:
Seriously! It was SOOOO spread out. The thought of going to the front desk on foot was almost enough to bring one to tears!

OMG Tracey, did you have to unhook your jaw to get your mouth round that one:scared::rotfl:?
Pretty much! It was FAR too big for one person. I do wish I had listened to Keith and got the chocolate chip one too. Sugar cookies are my favorite usually, but I think the ice cream would just "go" better with chocolate chip. (don't tell Keith I said I should have listened to him, kay? :ssst:)

I missed wishing you a happy birthday! :sad2: I hope it was a great one!

Hi!

My mom stopped having birthdays at 39 (or was it 29) she said that after that she was just having celebrations of life. So she says she 39 and she's had thirteen celebrations of life. :rotfl:
Hey, my grandmother is still 29 too!

Just an FYI, I don't think their dinner fare was all that yummy. I bet breakfast is better.
Yeah, but with just the two of them, they could get a romantic window seat overlooking Fantasyland and watch the fireworks.... that had to be one of my all time favorite meals in WDW when Keith and I did that!

Hi! Wow! We might be there at the same time!

Not me. I try to avoid direct human interaction whenever possible. ::yes:: That's why I like the DIS so much!

Hi AJF!

:lmao:

Hi! Wow! We might be there at the same time!
How fun! We are really excited, last visit we were with my best friend, her husband and their daughter and it was so chaotic! We're really looking forward to a relaxing adult time this time!

:welcome: Glad you are enjoying our report. We have been dragging our heels lately but promise to pick up the pace.

We're coming in 9/20 to 9/27 and have a standard view studio at the Kadini. I made our ADR's at the following (dinner only) I have a fear of committment :lmao: so I was really only concerned with evening meals. Anyway: Dinner at Cinderella's table, 50's Prime Time, San Angel Inn, IL Mulino NY Trattoria (Swan and Dolphin) and Hollywood & Vine and Fantasmic package. Planning on spending 2 days poolside and at the resort just hanging out.

Congrats on your purchase of AKV! pixiedust: We stayed there, in Jambo with a SV, and it was amazing. The next installment is about AKV. :thumbsup2
I can't wait for it!!!! So exciting. Last year we stayed at AKL in Jambo with a SV and to be honest...that's where it all began for us so we were excited to have it as our home resort!

I hadn't visited WDW until 2007 and I was also 38. I had been to Disneyland a bazillion times though. :cloud9:
We're hoping to do DL next year (September) if I can get the ressie. Plan on taking our nephew for his 21st :scared: If we can't get that I'm working on plans B and C. He goes to WDW every year with his parents who are DVC so I'd rather take him somewhere he hasn't been. We'll have to see how that all pans out!

Not sure if I did this multi post thing correctly so I apologize if it's all messed up.

:thumbsup2 That sounds nice. Not nice enough to do CRT again but nice for a first time. :lovestruc

I keep hearing that the food at the Swan/Dolphin is awesome! Can't wait for your review. 50's is on my to-do list too. And pool days are the best!!! :cloud9:

Hi ajf!

Well to use multi-quotes, sometimes you have to manually clean things up in the code (your post before you submit it). If you want to post what someone says, then respond to it, remember to "wrap" their words. So it's prefaced with a
INSERT NAME HERE said:
and is followed by {/QUOTE} -- I used a different bracket the second time only to show you the example, otherwise "and is followed by" would have been in a quote box. You wrap all tags (tags are instructions, like QUOTE, IMG, etc) with the square brackets: [ and ].

Hope that helps!
