Yes, my opinion would be the same because even if you take out the whole texting at all he still has a lot of other very fishy stuff going on.

I still say: Take a break for awhile, support yourself, feel self reliant and let him work on him. If it is meant to be you both will be stronger for the break.

I so agree with you! At the age of the OP and with everything going on, I believe that a break is best course of action. You need to support yourself, allow him to get his illness under control and if you are meant to be together you will be. Even without the bipolar diagnosis the feelings you are expressing require a step back from the relationship to allow you both to see the clear big picture.

I was in your situation once and as hard as it was, I am grateful everyday that I had the courage and strength to step back and assess the situation clearly. Good luck.
