Has this happened to anyone before? Or does anyone have information as to why it may happen? Do you know how they select people for this, or why? Thanks, all!

There have been other posts about this, so it sounds like they may have been coming up short with recruits this year. I would guess they probably keep a sort of internal "waiting list" pile of interviewees that didn't quite make the cut, but that they still really liked, just in case. Some of my friends applying to grad school got very similar letters from certain universities after they'd been waitlisted.

Also, nice to see someone else from Indiana!

My daughter received an e-mail like this on July 2nd, immediately replied that she was interested and received her acceptance on July 5th. At that time, they had positions available in Costuming, Attractions, Merchandise and QSFB. Evidently, they filled the first two (my daughter got Attractions) but still have room in the last two.

We're speculating that they did not get enough people in the spring and thus are trying to add more people at the last minute.

Where are you from in Indiana? I'm NWI :)

So, did your daughter send in a specific role she was hoping to get, out of those options? I saw it and replied within 20 minutes (do you think that was fast enough!?), and then realized I should probably send in a request - merchandise, because I did this on my first program and loved it! I double emailed which I hope didn't annoy them to no end :)
Also, did she just see it on her dashboard?

They've done this before when they suddenly have a bunch of openings to fill.

Since they are limited on participants based on housing occupancy and they aren't opening any more complexes, they probably had something fall through.

My guess is that it would be with one of the International Programs like the International College Program. They work in the same spots as the regular CP. It could be that they couldn't secure the right visas or they just decided to make that program smaller.

She only replied that she was interested and they assigned her to attractions, which was one of the original requests she had made in the spring.

20 minutes should be fast enough! My daughter responded 30 minutes after the e-mail was received.

Good luck!
